As a fan of DGD, this music video was so bittersweet to watch the first time around. I couldn’t stop myself from crying when I saw Tim happily grooving away on the bass. Sad to know this is the last video we will see with the full band 😢

One of my fav songs from Jackpot Juicer. Jon's dancing and groovy tone is so infectious I love it.

Jon's lyrics are the epitome of form over function. they often don't mean anything, and line by line it reads like a fever dream, because 95% of the time what's important to him is the way it sounds, not what he says and i think that's really cool

You guys have quickly become my new favorite react channel, can't believe I missed you for so long. I'm also a huge fan of DGD (discovered them in February 2020 and listened to them (and literally only them, no other band got any playtime on my Spotify) non-stop for almost a year. My top 10 DGD videos that I would recommend: Inspire The Liars, Strawberry's Wake, Prisoner, Blood Wolf, Evaporate (Lyric video), Nothing Shameful (Fan-Made Lyric Video), Strawberry Swisher pt. III, Betrayed By The Game, Young Robot, Son of a Robot, Death Of The Robot With Human Hair (These 3 robot videos are connected story wise, and there's an additional song called Stroke God Millionaire which is set in the same universe). They are drawn by Swedish Artist Mattias Adolfsson (Go Sweden, Yay!) Another band that I'd love for you to check out is Eidola, especially the song Mutual Fear (feat. Jon Mess). Andrew Wells is the lead singer here, and he's also doing backup vocals and rhytm guitar for Dance Gavin Dance and recently became an official member (he used to be the touring guitarist and guest vocalist for a few songs). Jackpot Juicer has the feel of a top shelf go-to summer album. Feels Bad Man is not even in my top 5 tracks for the album- but it had the best music video, for sure. 👌

Don broco is basically the only band I've found that has their own thing going and that funk kinda like DGD. Found them after that feature and so glad I did.

you two should check out Eidola. Andrew, the second guitarist, and third vocals for DGD is the front man. He has the voice of an angle, and their 2021 album, The Architect, id my favorite album ever...of all time

Yesss, i recommend "Moon" ang "Projectile Comet". Jon Mess is a lyrical poet genius.

Some of my favorite Jon lyrics are from the song "Petting Zoo Justice". It's a wild ride all the way through but I deffs think y'all would like that song, just have the lyrics pulled up on the side lol.

My favorite song on that album is, "For the Jeers" because you get to hear a lot of singing from their guitar player Andrew Wells!

The band 'Royal Coda' is also Swan Core and they have some more relaxed tones to their songs, I'd deffs recommend listening to their stuff. Their lead sings Kurt Travis was Dance Gavin Dance's lead singer for their album "Happiness" which is honestly my top one or two album by them. Definitely worth a listen if you like this song.

Literally had that on repeat and it makes me happy and sad at the same time you can hear it in their notes and passion in their voices it's also a masterpiece in my opinion

So- If you watch in the live version of Man of The Year on the bridge, Jon actually DOES do his thrash vocals with both a combo of a strained look and does them with a completely blank face. It's almost uncanny to see live, but is 100% authentic!
