We React To Blur - Beetlebum
Музыка
Today we dive into English alternative rock band Blur. "Beetlebum" was the lead single from their eponymous fifth album BLUR released in January 1997. Written about frontman Damon Albarn's experiences with Heroin, the song features Beatles-influenced music & mood that Albarn described as "sleepy" & "sexy" .

Liam Gallagher admitted although he had a big dislike for blur and would turn the radio off everytime they came on confessed one of his most favourite songs to listen too was Beetlebum

He said that Sing is his favourite. Actually, he was asked which Blur song he'd wished he'd written
This is probably my favourite Blur song too. The lead guitarist Graham Coxon went solo around the time Gorillaz were formed. His stuff is worth a listen
Great one to react to live! Glastonbury 2009 is a good one. Graham Coxon the guitarist always goes mad on the outro! For Tomorrow by blur is always my favourite!
Damon and Graham in perfect harmony. Top 5 all time song for me.
Try ‘No distance left to run’ - a deep cut but a high point of their latter low-fi approach. A real vibe!
Love all the Blur reactions! I suggest Coffee & TV next. Graham Coxon takes lead vocals on that one, but Damon is also on the chorus.

Coffee and TV is awesome. But is it typical? But great shout
Could listen to the outro for hours, so trippy
You need to react to the guitarist's solo stuff. Especially Graham Coxon's Freakin Out.
Great song ! "Song 2" is fantastic too, maybe a next time ?
Their best song
Please react to more Blur. Especially from the album “ Modern life is rubbish “
Its my favourite Blur song, as well. Thanks alot.

Herculean, the best.
One of the best reacts ever made on this song, if there is material to discuss it. But I believe they have more Beatles than Nirvana. Maybe they don't even have that much Nirvana, apart from the melancholy. But obviously this song seeks a grunge above anything Blur has ever produced, for sure yes. It's a good thing Blur didn't continue down this path, as history shows that it's tortuous. Other than that, best Blur song.
Beetlebum was about the band's semi-addiction to drugs. Heroin in particular in some of the lyrics. They all got out of it thank god.
That outro…
U know it's about his ex justine i think from Elastica toot toot chasing the u know if i recollect correctly
Defo react to more they're recent album from 2015 the magic whip is amazing
This is pure John Lennon
Not for a second comparing the two, but Blur were always closer to the Beatles than Oasis. Inventive, experimental, original, everything Oasis were not.
This one rivals Song 2 for best Blur song. Still leaning to Song 2 though. PS: Ty, your Dad has excellent taste in music!

Blur were doing the crazy stuff and experimental electronica before radiohead....
It's funny that you caught on to how it goes up and then comes down and back up and down again. The song is about heroin and the ups and downs so on so forth
