My favorite part is the fact it uses katakana for "text." It makes me think they just popped it into google translate rather than looking up the correct term, which is very on-brand for the game.

@@ranuncudahlia So that has me wondering. I could very well see "text", referring specifically to printed words, being an accurately used loan word. It is in use in Japan as テキスト, though I'm not sure in what cases it would be correctly instead of a native term. Alternately, it feels like an accurate use because it's a card title (particularly from a foreign game) and would then read accurately.

@@benjaminlein7687 テキスト almost always refers to instructional text, like a textbook or reading materials designed to teach, such as an essay. (It would not refer to printed instructions, like you would find in a game, which would be 説明書) A more accurate word if they wanted to convey "Japanese writing" would be any number of 漢字 (Kanji), 文/文章 (writing/composition/sentence), 書き方 (writing method). While they haven't been printing for relatively very long, Japan has still been writing a very long time, so they would use any number of their terms for writing/written text to refer to printed text. As for your point about it being accurate as a foreign card game, that's sort of correct, but if so, then they should've converted 日本語 from kanji into katakana. If they were using katakana because it is the "proper name" of the card, or else because it is intended as literal transcription of English pronunciation into Japanese characters, the entire title should have been in Katakana, either as ニホンゴテキスト or テキストインジャパニーズ. An example of this in the real world is Production I.G, whose name in Japanese is 「プロダクション」・アイジー, with「Production」being the portion in brackets, literally the katakanization of an English word, even though an adequate Kanji exists (制作, which refers to the noun production of artistic media).

Idk if its a joke about this but Yeah Jeremy said that once AH gets back to regularly working at the studio/office he won't be joining them anymore. He's more of a part-timer for AH now like Ky and Ify where he'll just show up in games sometimes but wont always be available

Now that I've finished, I'm actually really happy with the ending - the fact that everyone was all pleading to play more means they had a good time, and those are the videos I enjoy the most. I love watching people enjoy themselves in a way that doesn't mean someone else isn't, you know? When everyone in a video is happy and eager to be doing what they're doing, I'm happy watching.

who knows what the future holds, it's not uncommon to travel for work, there's still hope for in person jeremy during let's rolls, it just might not be as frequent. I kinda hope they continue doing table top simulator for that reason tho, cause I think those videos still hold up against the in studio stuff.

@@SunSun-sk4si Yes there are definitley advantages to tabletop sim. But downsides as well. We can see their face cams, but they can't see each other when playing online. I think being able to see and play of of each other makes these let's rolls in person a lot better.

This is my 2nd or 3rd time watching this video, I notice it every time and yell in my head "why are they letting them get away with that?!"

I actually kind of love the new table, particularly with the drink sockets. Very, very smart planning by Broadcast for Achievement Hunter *in general,* let alone for during Let's Roll. Also a great episode of a very silly game!

First card is I'm Crazy? Gunman betrayal in under 10 minutes? This is going to be good!

You know, something about Larry's rulings makes me think he plays Magic.

Absolutely was thinking the same thing! It makes sense too, Magic has probably the most extensive rulebook of any card game, and a lot of it's rules can be repurposed to other games. Like when Matt tried to cancel after Ky blocked the discard, that was absolutely a ruling of targeting vs board wipe type cards.

Definitely hope to see more of this. Either IRL or virtually. This game is such fun.

that game is so awesome. the first time they played it i wanted to order it but it was sold out nearly everywhere, now finally i ordered it from the UK. i love this game so much and cant wait to play it with my friends, drunk af ofcourse.

Honestly Wizard Larry is a godsend in Let’s Rolls. It’d be so nice to always have an official “I know the rules!” Guy who isn’t playing the game so we KNOW he’s not adding biases to the rules to let him beat everyone else.

​@@Null041: Lindsay uses they/them pronouns. And no, the Lindsay date is definitely correct. (Their LinkedIn and Wikipedia article also back this up.) Lindsay was a production intern from August-October 2011, and then became an employee proper starting in October 2011.
