I was there the literal second the kendrick pop out tickets went on sale and somehow got stuck in a queue with 60k ppl, by the time I got in hours later (again despite being there the exact second it went live) the $50 tickets were 500 for the worst seats all the way to 1k for the best Not a taylor swift fan, but I feel bad for them it must be actually impossible to get a ticket to her show unless you're rich

having worked security events in the past i can confirm that many of the security and ticket takes/gate checkers are basically volunteers only there to work the specific event and they are only given enough info to do their job to the bare minimum -- so it wouldnt be hard to to sneak in to the event with a high visibility vest and clip board or scanner or something to make you look official (as long as you do it with confidence)

It's so frustrating hearing that they desperately bought another ticket only for the lady to just close on him for genuinely no reason. Like, I'm sorry but that is just an exception you make. You wait for that person who's clearly been fucked over to work it out and let them in when they figured something out. Maybe no one else if they actually came late, but this person who's been standing around for 30 minutes trying to get in? No, you let them in.

Ticketmaster is the worst! My recent experience wasn’t as bad as Ethan’s but I was trying to get tickets and I was in the queue for an hour and it kicked me out of it a minute before they went on sale and then the code to unlock the presale vip tickets wasn’t working. So now I have an extra ticket cause I bought a GA ticket first before I figured out the vip code cause I was scared they were going to sell out.

I swear Sean is doing more to get me reading more non Star Wars books than the fact that I work in a library. I've started Berserk and Sanderson is moving up my TBR list.

*Worst concert experience:* It was me and my friends' very first real concert and my dad drove us 4 hours to see Black Veil Brides live in Copenhagen. The warm up band was better than BVB. Dude was crowd surfing, interacting with the audience and was just so much fun to watch! And for some reason the band was SO late(?) I think we waited 1.5-2 hours before they finally went on stage. It was still dope, but the wait was awful, and it kinda sucked that the warm up was a better experience than the actual band we paid to see. BVB also played just as long as the warm up. Oh, and the original date was cancelled due to Andy Black being sick, so we also waited a year more for that lukewarm experience.. *Best experience:* Marilyn Manson. Same venue and stage as BVB funny enough. He was so interactive, kicked the speakers, threw a tambourine into the mosh pit, threw around the mic stands, did weird yoga poses on stage, and he finished with my favorite song "Cocaine White" while fake snow fell from the ceiling, and then without a word left the stage. Everyone waited for him to come back, but then the lights turned on, and we figured that meant the show was over. It was magical! 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐ (Also, lil flex: was asked on stage by Jared Leto, who was my idol as a teen, at a TSTM concert, but being a small guy, I never made it over the fence, the security wouldn't let me pass, and I had barely made it through the pit. Best and worst 5 minutes of my life. This was before I knew what a sh*tbag Leto is)

I love Ethan's energy in this episode

My parents straight up taught me science answers to their best ability when I had questions. This reawakened a memory of me I must've been like 2 or 3 asking my mom about how mirrors work and why the TV didn't do the same thing XD

My mom actually had almost the same thing happen but it was motley crue tickets at wrigley after covid happened. She bought the tickets before covid hit and by the time the concert got rescheduled and her tickets were supposed to still be good. BUT something happened and ig all 4 of the tickets she bought got resold so my mom brother aunt and uncle just hung out around wrigleyville. She was super heartbroken.

Baking soda and water always helped with my bee stings!! Keep on leaking!!!❤️

Seán you were close on the Hail Mary prayer. I've been stung by a bee twice in my life. A) When I was little playing on our swingset a bee flew into my right eye and stung the lower eye lid. Swelled right up afterwards and had to use a wet washcloth to help out. B) A couple years ago I wasn't watching where I was going and got stung on the bottom of my foot. Had to limp my way around the house and put the baking soda paste on it. IT DOES WORK!! The first time I tasted alcohol was my 21st birthday drinking a Twisted Tea

Ticketmaster is ridiculous, I go to a lot of concerts and anytime I'm getting tickets I avoid going through them at all costs.

My worst concert story: June 25th 2023 I went to see Muse in Milton Keynes. Muse were awesome, and they had two opening bands - The Warning and Royal Blood. The Warning were sick, but I didn't see Royal Blood because as soon as they started playing, a dude next to me (who was off his face on something) tried to start a mosh pit and he roundhouse kicked me in the ribs. Me and my partner left to get some water while they played, but when they finished about half of the stadium left. We were there for Muse, but I cannot imagine paying nearly £300 just to see a support band who were playing a 20 minute set 💀 that whole concept alone is just as bad as being kicked in the ribs by a Royal Blood fan.

As a Brazilian myself (not really close to where it actually happened tho, I'm from the northwest and the Amazon is up north) Indigenous people do have access to electricity and all that, but tribes and more traditional peoples stick more to their roots and lifestyle. There's a whole political debate in the country about whether it makes sense for them to own phones at all which is ridiculous

Also I am so sorry the ticketmaster bullshit happened to you Ethan, I've heard so many cases of people being burned by that damned website, I've narrowly avoided paying way too much to see Into the Spider-Verse in concert (only to then find my friends who bought their tickets through ticketmaster went through a similar situation you did). I hope you get to see Kendrick perform DNA someday.

I’ve never been to a concert but in 2015 when I was 9 I went to a WWE show in the 3Arena in Dublin. And towards the end of the show one of the wrestlers jumped off the top rope and his leg literally just snapped. Safe to say that was a bad experience!!

Now I really want to read Brian Cranston's Stormlight Caster series.
