We’ve taken about a two week break from uploading video while we focus on cutting our timber frame, preparing for the timber frame workshop and hosting the workshop. We’re happy to report that OUR FRAME IS UP (check out pix on our Facebook page) and while our winter to-do list is long, we’re going to try to continue getting our KZread channel up to date and uploading when we can, hopefully we can work daily videos into our schedule again! Enjoy stepping back about four weeks in time as we complete the framing of our sub floor.

So happy the frame is up and you now have a few seconds to share the process. Please don't feel pressure to "catch up". Those of us who could not be there in person, want to enjoy the process in the rhythm to which we have grown accustomed. I love the both of you; am grateful you came through primarily unscathed; and am so grateful you still want to share the day to day progress.

Thank you for uploading this video, it is nice to have a surprise of another posted video! Alyssa, your editing is is Awesome and I understand about not just putting up some 5 minute video that you don't feel good about just to please some of your viewers. I, along with so many others, hope that videos with be coming more often now that the Shelter Institute workshop is over, but but if we have to wait a while for another video to come out, so be it. Your house project is Much more important than finding time to film, explain what is going on, edit and post a video. I'm just happy that you are allowing us to follow you and Jesse on your adventurous journey! :)

I just appreciate you guys sharing your projects, and I think that's how most people feel and just watch and enjoy and don't comment. Anyway, thanks you two! When ya'll get time to post again we will watch.

I can appreciate wanting to build your own home and doing it on the "cheap" as it were. When I first started watching, I was inspired, here was two people who had each others back and enduring all the hardships to build their dream life. Then the wife makes a video about how she hates what she's doing but is a means to an end. That took me back and I haven't watched much since. I kind of feel like I was lied to because she was so energetic and excited about "getting the job done". I thought to myself, how cool is it to have someone who shares your goals and is just into building just as much as you are. That was almost a virtual slap in my face. Now how I process this information and what not is all on me. I do think her honesty is a good thing. It must have weighed pretty heavy on her heart, so much so she made a pretty long video expressing how much she didn't like it. That is what killed it for me. I'm no expert and hope you two build a wonderful home.. I just can't watch anymore. After that revelation, it feels like what I'm watching has been tainted. My opinion doesn't amount to a hill of beans, just wanted you to know why I didn't subscribe. ( I normally watch a channel a bit before just smashing the sub button.) Again all the best to you and your other half. Congratulations on making it this far. I've dug basements by hand, so I know all about hard work.
