Do people not understand that taking a hit at 46 (especially for a receiver) is way different than 29-31, which is when most guys retire. They have career injuries from playing so long. Running no pads on a field in a race is WAY different than NFL speed and taking hits

@The Better Society if he feels like he still can... Than why hasn't he? It's scientific fact, the body takes damage recovery way slower at that age than say, 30. It's not about if he can still run, catch the ball and memorize a playbook, obviously he can still do that, it's a matter if he could take dozens of hits per week, which many guys equate to getting in a 20 mph car crash, and recover in time to play, which would be an amazing feat if he could do that at 46, especially for a WR. That's the thing most people don't think about when talking about these old guys coming back because they see them running routes and making catches on an open field. By the way, I played football for several years, and got one confirmed concussion playing, so I know what it's like to take a hit.

At 21 I could run a 4.8 and I could smoke everyone I knew (not some bogus hand timed run, that's actually electric time). Even the average in shape person can't break 5.0.

@Freddie Davis I have no hate or love for the man but think he doesn't get a job mostly cause he would be a distraction and would mouth off if he doesn't get touches, the team loses or the doesn't agree with coaching decisions. If the saints lost Michael Thomas in week 12, the Seahawks lost dj Metcalf. The Packers lost Davonte Adams... Why would a guy who can run a sub 4.5 not be considered? I guess there's plenty of younger guys that can do that. Maybe his coordination isn't what it was? Maybe his short are a quickness isn't what it was... But I would give him a shot of her could snare even two red zone touchdowns in limited action.

As a mid 30s male that had his heyday , I can tell you it ain't bout just speed times but doing that consistent on every play. He got speed but he's gassed , like he ran a mile lol. Young kids can do that for hours . TO great but it's over man

T O lived in my area for a while. Dude worked out every day. Now I see why. Dude is 46 and still running 4.3 to 4.4 in forty yard dash. GIANTS need to sign the homey.

I saw an interview with him recently where he said he would be willing to sign on with a team for a playoff run, and go on 3rd and 4th down situations, but not more than that. If he did that though, that would be impressive as hell.

Big shout out to UTC Chattanooga.. T.O. is still arguably the best receiver to ever don our small college field despite the many controversies during his NFL career. And we have never made it that close to having a BIG TEAM and winning conferences since T.O.'s reign in our city.. And shout out to the late great Reggie White, a Chatt-Town born and raised LEGEND and one of the best to ever do it!

8:42.......I like how Chad Johnson wasn't entertaining the talk about his 4-12 Bengals season when he teamed up with Terrell Owen's. The guy tried to bait Chad into throwing his qb, Palmer under the bus and blaming him or the offense on the horrible season, but Chad just ignored the nonsense and focused on being there to race. It was Carson Palmer's fault too. I was a fan of his amd thought that him with TO and Ocho would be great. But he literally couldn't get them the ball. Was overthrowing them and missing easy routes. I remember the look on TO and Chad's face trying not to snap. Lol. They didn't want to look like divas anymore, which is why they didnt complain about the QB
