I have a few of comments here: (1) Many of the Changlis have an electric low gear, which you did not mention. Did you try that low gear? (2) You may be interested to know, these smaller trucks (and electric SUVs and cars; see Aliexpress) are used in China by the elderly (based on the conversation I have had with my Chinese friend at a factory there). These minis are used in contrast to motorcycles due to: the Chinese elderly population having a higher standard of living now days; the low(er) cost of these vehicles in China (under 10,000 yuan); and can come with heat and a/c which can keep a person out of the elements. Additionally, these mini vehicles are slightly safer versus a motorcycle. Sort of. I am not sure I would want to go faster than 40mph with that metal frame and body parts. That front bumper isn't going to do jack. (3) The engine you might want to consider is perhaps either a Predator 670cc or a Duromax 999cc. 22hp-35hp would be impressive gain in this little truck over the standard 5kw (or so) electric engine. There are people on KZread who have claimed the 670cc modified can get north of 40+hp (maybe more) with only a few mods (ie: Red Beard Garage). Since I would assume you are not using this truck for hauling, the pickup bed would be able to accommodate the engine and CVT transmission if needed, and you would have reverse, something a motorcycle engine would not give you. (4) Suzuki Samurai driveline components would work nicely for this application which could add 4x4 pretty easy. There are other routes as well, but you builders probably are already aware of them. Be seeing you.

Hi. Im chinese. This vehecle is actually technically not car. In china some legal loophole allows vehicle like this be identified by law as electric bike, its just an electric bike that really looks like a truck. And because of it, it does not need license plate or driving license, and therefore very popular among people who cant bother with getting on

I have an 01 Legacy wagon that ECS in Windsor Locks CT helped me build that’s got a 3.6L swap from a newer Outback and we twin turboed it, coilovers, Brembo’s, Turbo XS boost controller and BOV’s, AEM ecu, etc. it’s on RPF1’s and semi slicks. At our local mall at one point a mall crawler idiot and his 12 year old girlfriend were laughing at me calling me “Tokyo Drift” as I’m Korean and drive a very riced out car. The difference being that I go to Maple Valley routinely for track days and have legitimately been going to various tracks for years to not only network but become a better driver. Where as the man child with the mall crawler hasn’t ever been off road unless you count the the planters between parking lots at the mall

I'll say that one of the positive and negative power leads is plugged in the place of the other causing the drive and reverse to be inverted in control signals and once you find and switch them around the controls should be fixed (make sure to mark/engrave the wires[write which wires are for what] properly so it is easy to find them in the future).
