Does that one damage from Esper Sentinal on turn two really matter? No, but we're ploticing it anyway!

Easily the best Clash episode ever. So much laughter and good banter. Reminded me of my old Sunday commander crew at my LGS.
Richard's slowly unraveling sanity makes this.

What do you mean slowly? Ten minutes into the game and he was already freaking out. It’s great.
One of my favorite episodes of all time, the dealmaking, alliances, betrayals, way more dynamic than any normal game. You guys should make this an evergreen part of the theme rotation.
Fun fact: Listening to the match without watching becomes very funny, when Crim anounced his drawn card and in your mind you understand "Five Hundred Year Diarrhea" and you think: I wouldnt like that! :D

Maybe it's intentional? like, with cards art getting so wierd and a board cluttered enough it can get hard to diferentiate even lands from nonlands, ok, how do i make the above comment not sound sarcastic? i read it myself and it sounds like i'm just defending richard's wierdness for no reason

This is the best Crim has ever been on an episode. "Richard, your my treasure." "Phil, it would be a shame for Magar's campaign to be cut short."
This is Richard's joker arc

Only because he could find them off top and scroll rack , lame
The reason I prefer the crew on spelltable more than MTGO is that they actually read the cards when they play them. Makes it so much easier to consume as a podcast!
Round of applause for Richard having a pretty good mana base
My buddy one time played wedding ring and gave it to the player who was most ahead at the table and the rest of us were confused, until he used fractured identity on the ahead players copy.

What a game. 4 boardwipes and 3 teferis prot
In my opinion, this is my idea of a great game of commander. Politics encourage social interaction and is just downright hilarious as we can see here, lol and y'all have the best themed videos. Keep it up!
Great episode, but I have a personal grudge for top and scroll rack. There are a few people in my weekly that literally put those in every deck they have, and after a couple years, I can say it very consistently improves their odds. I have added additional artifact destruction specifically for those cards. When Richard joked about how Crim was grooming his hand, I was legit triggered. lol That's how the others who play those two cards will also politic too and it literally drives me up a wall. Despite having actively gone through their entire deck over the course of the game. It was a fun game. It's just a shame Phil never actually used his commander. I was looking forward to seeing how it'd work.
Love watching Richard rock out with his ox out
He cant keep getting away with it
I cheered out loud for Mercadia's Downfall. I've been running it in Anim Pakal and it's been a delight.
22min in and this game is GOLDEN 😂 love these kinda games, especially the responsibility!
Did you miss a life gain trigger for Phil for when Seth drained when Wedding Ring 💍 was out? If so, maybe Phil or Crim would have won. :o Solid game though!
4:10 earned my like. The most real spite attack.
The editing on these is so great 😊
Very nice episode. I would love to see you guys playing your personal decks and/or replaying some nice decks from past episodes that didnt developed very well for any reason.

Richard out here thinking that it is "Polit-ox" week
So happy to see Magar represented! My favorite commander by far!!
Crim doing his best Noem impression shooting that dog of seth's...
Amazing episode guys! Keep it up!
This episode was so funny, such a great episode idea
best episode i've seen; felt like Crim was gonna stand out in the table metagame of it all, was not disappointed
3/4 of the commanders are some my favorites! This is rare. Can't wait to watch.
The impromptu wedding was unexpected and hilarious!
This was probably one of the best games of commander clash!
This episode is hilarious. Well done, bois.
What a great episode, very funny.
I love all the little deals and broken bargains XD
Crim, thank you for the big goblin energy
But Phil was deceived, for there was one ring forged in secret...
I love it, if everyone is else is politicking, then Richard can’t win off politicking like he normally does.
13:20 ok that was actually so funny by Richard 😂😂
I just built Magar a week before this video, love to see someone else play this guy
honestly, one of my favorite cards to put in tivit is Karn, living legacy. The powerstones are really good for cracking clues, and if you somehow ultimate it tivit is just so much damage.
Does somebody know if there is a video or picture of the setup they are using (not facecam)? Trying to improve my spelltable setup 😅

On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" It's Realpolitik. Will Richard win with solid economic policy or will Crim show us that the only thing that matters is jingoism? Tune-in to find out!
that farewell sent phil and seth back into the stone age, i would've scooped lol
Early on Seth was supposed to get the Yes Man from Phil but he was also supposed to pay the 1 for Esper Sentinel which he didn't.
Richard choosing the wrong removal spell twice: "You gonna Go for the Throat my Esper Sentinel?" "No because it's an artifact Richard!" "You gonna Doom Blade his Bowmasters? Oh wait you can't."
Should there be a board wipe printed that gets around creatures phasing out?
Loved this episode! There should be a politics everything episode every season!
Phil whiffing on the cascades not just from his own deck, but everyone elses, was a remarkable case of bad luck.
Oooohhhh this is gonna be a good one
At 39:30 I thought house bans included The One Ring... is this season different because of playing with real cards? Also, I'd love hear feedback on this seasons deck building and playing. I have been wondering if Richard has given you guys a weekly budget to build and brew new decks, or if you guys are expected to buy/source your own cards for the show each week. Maybe you guys could address this in a fish mail!
Crim missed Revel in Riches trigger during Austere's command resulation, should've gotten a few treasures from the ox and spirits dying
@Niuttuc
2 ай бұрын
No, Austere Command resolves top to bottom, and "Destroy all enchantments" is before destroy all creatures, since they're in separate paragraphs (in this case bullet points) they don't happen all at once, so Revel in Riches is gone by the time the creatures are destroyed.
So, no green super-ramp and non-basic land punishment (from richard non the less) that was a big win.
Hahaha hot damn the Ox avalanche 🤣
This episode was super fun! Skullwinder would have been perfect this game, but no one was playing green
26:59 Based Crim acknowledges his Tribal Chief.
15:51 Richard mistakenly put his esper sentinel in the yard even though Crim targeted one of Seth’s spirits
Barely 7 minutes in, and this episode is already my favorite. It's put a smile on my face from all the responsible behavior under Esper Sentinel, weird cards, and politics.
two and half minutes in and I can already see this is going to be hilarious!
"you wanna do cool things?" Works so much more than you realize.
59:46, looks like Richard hit Dusk//Dawn here instead of Land Tax but thought he was cascading rather than discovering

You guys are so entertaining
Wondrous crucible is such a phil card. I love using it myself. This has also been the most normal game of commander that they've played in a while. I also don't like hearing Richard say husbando.
One question: Magar of the Magic Strings states "Whenever a creature deals combat damge to a player...." "Double Strike" means a "creature deals combat damage twice during each combat phase" - once in the first damage step and once in the second combat step. Does that mean dealing damage to a player with a creature with double strike triggers Magar's ability twice? The way it is worded it should, right?
@NMS127
2 ай бұрын
Yes, if one of the instants or sorceries Magar puts into play face down deals combat damage to a player twice due to double strike, its controller can cast a copy of it each time.
this is going to be good
@38:58 - unless I misunderstand how extort works, or missed something: Seth only gained 2 life from 34 to 36 when he should have gained 3. Phil took 1 from 42 to 41 but should have also gained 3 up to 44? Should be 37-44 at this point?
great game!
It's hilarious how Richard's politicking doesn't work when everyone else does it too.
The groups interactions make this an enjoyable expierience and unique compared to others. A politics episode just emphasizes the best part of the viewing experience. Great idea, hope its a regular theme
I know I'm in the minority, but I liked the mtgo stuff. Lots of pros and cons on both sides. Now you're doing paper, I can't wait to see some Double Headed Giant games!
I'm so sad I didn't know this was happening. I'd have loved to send my Happily Ever After Glunch deck to one of them.
crim must love that theres no green in this episode
How did it go from daylight to pitch black in Germany in the course of this game?
If Phil dies first again we riot!!
I love that they are playing paper. Now I actually watch commander clash 😅😊
I just LOVE watching CRIM play magic. Everything is a joke or funny, nothing is to be taken seriously, everyone else's big moves are worth celebrating and cheering on, and while everyone else asks to not receive damage, he begs for it.
So, you're telling me Seth paid the 1 *and* correctly pronounced bivouac? Not buying it, he's been replaced by AI.
Phil could have been so much more brutal with that volcanic offering. He should have killed the Urborg instead of Coffers. It still shuts down the mana AND it stops maze from tapping for mana.
Richard spends the game crying wolf and then becomes the wolf! lol Great game!
Politicing and allowing a commander thats from an "un" set is so meta
This one was fun, I don't think I would enjoy THIS much politics every game all the time though. Thanks for the content.
Waiting for dat clash on merch!! 90's theme and as cheesy as you can make it.
Let's go, more Magar content
Richard's "Power Move!" at 19:46 was amazing. This whole episode was amazing. It seemed like you guys had way more fun than usual.
Ok, before even starting I'm curious. Tivet does voting, that's obviously political, even if he does his best to make the votes not matter by swinging them in your favor. Shadrix passes around advantage to opponents and can set up some neat alliances. Magar... I'm not sure about. You could be running stuff like prisoner's dilemma, but it doesn't really seem that political. Bruse Tarl though... Richard, you can't just call any deck with a secret rendezvous in it political.
This was a great episode! So funny how it started with nice politics and slowly turned into backstabbing, undermining, lying, and broken trusts 😂
I’m actually very excited for all the potential deals and betrayals lol
AYYY LETS GO SETH PLAYING ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Creating a copy of an Ox token, call that a Xerox
And that's why you never make a deal with Richard. I don't know how they still don't learn after all these years. Great episode.
MTGO commander clash was good, but in paper is great. Being free from the triggers and having to F6 manually makes this go so smooth. This game would have been 3 hours I'd guess haha
paper commander is so good!
