Counterspell versus cavern of souls. What a blow out.

12:44 You are blocking the flying sliver with your non-flying snapcaster. The reason why this attack was so scary, is because you had to bolt the cloudshredder to even block anything with the snapcaster or mutavault.

Would have been game either way. On 8 life, if he bolted the cloudshredder he would immediately take 4 due to the leeching then no matter how he blocked he could only stop 2 slivers. 2 would get through and with the muscle sliver they would each deal 2 damage brining the total to 8 - aka, lethal.

Great content as always guys. One thing I spotted was the block with snapcaster at 12:50 can't be done because of slivers having flying. Doesn't stop it being an enjoyable watch, keep it up!

It happens in most of their videos they make blunders like this. The dredge vrs land video he would intrupt his cantrip resolving with the triggers he got from milling. Thats not how it works. Your spell finishs resolving then all the triggers that trigger while the spell is resolving get placed on the stack. Legit the other guy could have gapped reclaimer after all the dredging and probably won the game but because they screwed it up so badly he didnt.

Snapcaster blocking a flying creature, trully the MVP of the match.

i only recently found these videos and after 20 years of not playing, this tickles a certain nerve to get started again. especially since i had a sliver dack back in the day

@@CardmarketMagic My favourite is Spirits but that is followed closely by Slivers in terms of my affections. I also have a pet deck that is Illusions. I think a match-up between Spirits and Slivers would be interesting because Slivers can be really explosive.

@@roadkill2104 I'll never forget an edh game I had where I played slivers and one opponent played a newly made ally deck. He complained a lot about how unfairly strong slivers are. Allys were nowhere near as poweful :)

Also you can get basics from path of exile,assassin's throphy, ghost quarter Diffusion Sliver instead of Unsettled Marriner These are some of the changes for anyone who wants to play slivers and wants to try different approach

Game two when you triple blocked, you should have blocked the sinew sliver with the galerider as at the end of turn when the muscle sliver was exiled, the sinew sliver would die to the damage marked on it, then the dregscape sliver would die too as the buffs are take out of play

I wonder if Carl knew there were 2 caterpillars chilling under his nose😂

Just watched, felt like Sinew Sliver and the Unearth Sliver could be blocked for 2 damage each, as EoT comes around, because Unearth exiles in end step, they would die from damage, and Cloudrazer would be left. Unless I am incorrect on this?

What an unfortunate match up for Faeries which are all about bounce and counter spells. Bouncing that Aether Vial in the beginning was such an unfortunate move, though not knowing I'd see why you would do it.

Can I send an old decklist I played a couple years ago?

If this match had happened just one year later... oh boy.

I haven't watched it yet, when i played my sliver deck it was all about coat of arms, probably banned now lol

Because they have to tap to attack :) so I would not have been able to block with it. If they had vigilance, I would have waited till they are attacking

@nuggistrike first of all chill. second of all, it's the responsibility of the owner of a trigger to remember it and sometimes triggers do get forgotten and it's fine. the illegal block is not fine however and under competitive rules, play would be reverted to the illegal block and lethal damage would be assigned in this case.

Euros are worth just a little over a US dollar. So the conversion is generally pretty easy 👍

@leodalkey651 there is no backlog. We just pick two decks at random every time we ask for submissions. The contests are not limited when we are not giving away prizes, but when we give away the winning deck, it is limited only to Europe and the UK. There is no video or page needed, we post all the rules every time we ask for submissions :)

could you please play my +1/+1 counter proliferate modern deck its not very good but decent i think, also it doesnt have a sideboard: creatures,pollenbright druid x4, wildwood scourge, wren's run hydra, pridemalkin, centaur battlemaster, aggresive mammoth, fang of shigeki, duskshell crawler, trollbred guardian, orochi merge-keeper, gitaxian anatomist sorcery's, contentious plan x3, scale the heights x2, storm the seedcore, circuitous route, open the gates, blue sun's twilight instant's, negate x2, essence capture x2, serum snare x2, reject imperfection, essence scatter, roiling regrowth, stony strength, massive might enchantement's, mesmerizing dose, domestication, public enemy, grafted growth lands, forest x11, island x8, simic guildgate, the surgical bay i hope you play it maybe you can make a good pauper deck from this but my collection isnt big enough to make anything better than this
