I am sure with a recognizable center-back pairing, they would not have lost the Crystal Palace game. With Varane and Licha at the back, the team seems well balanced and play with a level of confidence. EtH has been denied that by the numerous injuries resulting to several center-back pairings the entire season...and he has survived without a recognized left-back.

If I were bayern I would have gone for erik, people think he can't play possession based football but he definitely can. It's just that it doesn't fit the majority of the united players right now. I disagree with you, the way we played today is not our identity, but the tactics were effective and impactful which totally nullified City and even caused them to be anxious which led to them making a lot of mistakes at the back. If it wasn't for Walker, City would have most likely conceded more goals.
