With my husband in the military we began our life together realizing we were our home. All the moving every 2 years became routine. We had our babies and it still was us being our home. He passed away when all 3 of our girls were still in their 20s. Hold tight to your family, your home, and it's all going to be ok. Much love to all 4 of you.

Gotta look forward and love each other. The love in your family is so powerful that it will take you through this. Do all your favorite things: eat your fav food; wear your fav clothes; play your fav music; etc. etc. Just surround yourselves with favorites and it willlift you up through this. I know it’s a little late now… But for future reference, you should use those vacuum seal bags and put all the pillows and stuff in. They got almost perfectly flat could’ve put some clothes and stuff in there stuffed animals all kinds of things you could have reduced down to give you more space. I’m sure you’re in Australia right now and I’m just now seeing this, so just my suggestion.

I’m a military kid, for me moving my whole life. It’s like a fresh start and an adventure is at your finger tips. It’s pretty hard leaving friends behind and your comfortable space but this will make you stronger and a new life awaits in Utah for you to live it.

Just went through moving and the only thing that kept me sane was taking it hour by hour. If I’d constantly thought about the enormity of what we still had left to pack, and how much longer it was going to take, I would have been a mess of dread and anxiety. Being in a brand-new place was so worth it though!

You guys are growing up and doing what is best for your family. Proud of you! Be happy!

This entire video was so STRESSFUL! I feel your pain! Everything is going to be great! Family is everything, and if you HATE it there? Just make it a goal to get back to the Island! Love you all!

Thanks for sharing. Hope you are enjoying your trip in Australia (if you are still there). We live in Tasmania which is such a beautiful island! We moved here from Perth, Western Australia nearly six years ago. It was very hard because my son lives there. He is 37 years old. If he was here, it wouldn’t have been a problem. Both of you are so young and your children will adapt. Once you are settled and find later you want to go back to Hawaii, you can. I do believe you will go back one day! Also, come and visit Tasmania!! It will be worth it. All the best 🌸🙏

Omigosh. Don’t feel bad my husband and I did the same thing!! Procrastinated and we were burned out and crazy till we actually moved. We couldn’t get a pod where we were so yeah it was nuts. You guys will have a new life and wonderful memories to be made in Australia and Utah. Thanks for sharing ♥️

Everyone leaves home at one point or another and it’s very difficult. Just think of all the amazing new memories you will make with your family, and you will be back with Tanner, Lo, and the kids. You will be able to come back to Hawaii to visit, and you friends can come visit you as well. It will all work out! Have an amazing time Australia and can’t wait to see pictures!! Safe travels!!

I'm watching this during my last two days before moving to another state. I so get those emotions. Even when we know it's all for the better, it's sad to give up the good things about a place. I hope you guys are having a wonderful time. And know that having you as parents is better than anything about Hawaii. Those are lucky babies wherever they go in this world.

I don't know how you guys can still make me smile and laugh through all of this. You are such an inspiration to so many. Living life large. It's the only way to do it. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that's why it's called the present. We all look forward to your adventures down under. Having gotten a Pod before myself, get the largest in the future! The furniture takes up A LOT of room! Unless you don't own ALL that furniture? Wow!

It was painful for me to watch you both working so hard for so many hours, and I was sad with you about y'all moving, but yet happy knowing you you have a new chapter in your lives and new adventures. I'm so looking forward to seeing you in Australia and Utah in the near future.

BUT… you are starting a NEW INCREDIBLE CHAPTER in Utah with your real families!! I think you’re doing the right thing by moving home again. It’s so important to be by family when you have kids. They need to know their grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. And I know it’s tearing you up to leave Hawaii since it was so ideal for you, but you’re doing it for your family. Proud of you!!!!

Just remember it’s only bad/sad in the moment… after, the sigh of relief is so worth it.❤ I think you guys are kicking butt with two kiddos, I promise we other parents understand the struggle, the feels that come with any move, and just all the things. So excited for new adventures.

I know it’s hard to leave somewhere that you have amazing memories of your babies . Two years ago we moved after living in the same house for 17 y years!!! My babies were 20 and 17 . As someone who has moved too many times to count with 5 kids and ALL their stuff, here are some tips. Tetris that stuff in there Derrick so it cannot move, from floor to ceiling stability. Imagine it’s tiny and your rolling it around in your hand on all sides with all your stuff inside. Nothing should shift or move. Movement means breakage. Put all the most fragile items in boxes with newspaper or packing papers or packing foam, then use those boxes on the back wall first against back wall floor to ceiling, then put as many big heavy furniture pieces against them to hold them in place. Utilize every nook and cranny. If you can block off with a box springs or big mattress to enclose the fragile stuff in boxes at back then do it before adding the odd shaped items in the middle to 1/3rd toward front. Last things to go on should be heaviest items like fridge, washer and dryer, etc… these items should be used to keep anything in back from moving forward. Kinda holds everything in place. 7:21 in and have to thank you both for helping me reaching at least one decision in my upcoming move and that is leaving with only necessities/momentos that cannot be replaced and even those may be sold/left. Besides Utah is amazing!!!! The Mountain View’s are breathtaking- you can ski many places …Alpine slides is beautiful! My little family and I went through all that just a couple of months ago. We rented the largest Uhaul they had and still had to make some tough decisions as we couldn't fit everything. We then had a 4 day drive ahead from Cali to Texas. What an adventure that was! Leaving California felt more like an escape. Not like when we had to go there in the first place for my husband work. Leaving all my friends and family in Utah was heartbreaking and I bawled too. Our annual visits home are all the more precious though and I hope your visits back to the Islands will feel the same. You guys are so strong! Thanks for sharing 😊 I don't feel so alone.
