As someone who’s been HEAVILY supporting Sleep Token for just over 2 years, I can absolutely confirm that we DO want them to be huge. We know what they’re doing is incredibly special and clearly they won’t compromise their music for anyone or anything. So they will continue to be genuine and sincere no matter how big they get. We all just want this kind of honesty and deep level of care to be recognized for the beauty that it is

Amen. They're just special. To demonstrate your point: back in the 1999 (yes, I'm old), I was so into rap. It had been my main genre since The Chronic dropped (ok, I'm really old). My college roommate at the time wouldn't shut up about going to a Korn show with him and he finally wore me down, so I went. And it changed my life. Korn was my gateway. Had I been dragged to a Cannibal Corpse show instead, I may have walked out after one song, but with Korn, there were so many elements of what I already enjoyed about rap that metal suddenly became accessible to me, and the rest is history. In the 23 years since, I've pretty much exclusively listened to metal, all because of that gateway. I absolutely went deeper and deeper into the genre and scene as I developed an ear for it. I bought CDs, shirts and tickets and supported these bands I never would have come to love if not for a gateway to dip my toe into. Today, I very much enjoy the Cannibal Corpses and Lorna Shores of the world because I wasn't thrown right into the deep end back then. It's just one story, but it absolutely underscores your thesis about the importance of bands like Sleep Token. Unfortunately, no one loves to hate what they love like metal fans, but the Sleep Token community feels different. Whether we're accepted by the metal community at-large or not, I've found we're more than happy to accept and welcome any and all who discover them.

I was introduced to Sleep Token about 2 years ago by a friend. At the time I really wasn't into metal at all, but Vessel's voice, lyrics, the ambience were so captivating and different that I couldn't help but liking their songs. Fast forward to today, and they are one of my favorite bands ever. Like you suspect, I am one of those people who have grown to appreciate metal and the beauty it holds, thanks to Sleep Token. I still do have my limits; Vore And Gods are still a bit much for me, but that's ok. The rest do a well enough job bringing me to tears lol. I really hope They become more well known. I want to recommend another band that I hold dearly, that Being "Low Roar." The founder/singer unfortunately passed away a few months ago, but I still want to share their music with others. They are not like Sleep Token but still unique. If I had to recommend a song, I'd say "Give Up" represents them well. Worship

I can relate. I got into them with Nazareth back in 2018, then I saw/listen The Offering on the day of its release, even though they already had blown my mind it wasn't until 2020 when I get obssesed and the whole discography and lore started growning on me and I become truly aware of ST talent and potential. "Soon, regardless of cynicism, you will all be followers."

I had sorta put metal and heavier stuff on the back burner since getting out of the military. I found sleep token about a year ago and fell in love! Since then, I've found myself listening to other bands and reintroducing myself to the current metal or "heavier" scene. It feels like going back home to me. When they released chokehold in January I was so happy because I knew they did something that would catch everyone's attention. They deserve all the best! Can't wait to hear what else they have to offer. Thanks for making this video even if I didn't see it til a month later. 😊

My daughter's friend came to Texas to watch them play last year. They are amazing live. Vessel's voice is out of this world. And just the whole performance is over worldly fantastic. They were not even the main event and theirs was the most memorable of the three performers, at least for me. I really hope they hit it big. Their music should be savored by everyone.

I’m the same way. Sometimes I’ll hear a gong that really grabs my attention, so I’ll give it the full album, good headphones on at night test. Dimensional Bleed by Holy Fawn, Where Myth Becomes Memory by Rolo Tomassi, and Imagine what we could destroy by Vexes are worth your attention

It's absurd that anyone would gatekeep this band, because ST are the ones bringing fresh blood to the very thing they wish to defend: music. Sleep Token is the first band whose physical albums I've bought in about...13 years? Ish? And it's funny because I heard Alkaline first, thought it was cool, then kinda forgot about it. And I didn't even really like The Summoning when I first heard it. But Chokehold was the clincher. The first ten seconds of Chokehold grabbed me the way the first ten seconds of Papercut stole my heart when I first heard it in middle school. And the same thing happened, then and now: I was desperate for everything this band had. I was completely committed to understanding the treasure I had discovered. It was near-cathartic. ST is an amalgam of everything I love in music as a whole. It has the heavy lyrical and instrumental angst I thrived on as a teen, the piano ballads and unpredictable guitar grooves my dad raised me on, and the indie/synthy/trappy/ambient/experimental vibes I've settled into today. They've also piqued my interest in genres I've generally ignored or didn't even know about, like all the "-cores." I couldn't even handle long, shrieking vocals before, but ST offered the auditory space and poetic intrigue I needed in order to appreciate the artistry--so totally that Vore is somehow one of my favorite songs of theirs now. It's ridiculous. I feel like my 12-year-old self discovering Linkin Park all over again. Like witnessing a seismic shift in how music even works. And now my parents can't even yell at me to turn down my "angry noise." Heck yes.

Totally feel ya. Sleep Token otherworldly quality in many ways!! Total bliss this band. They are a genre on its own. Like this video. Instant like and sub! Exciting times ahead for all music lovers of Sleep Token with their major label singing with RCA what will come next for them next year 😃🤗🤗

Dude my story is pretty much the same as yours! I saw the hypnosis drum playthrough when it came out last year and I thought it was groovy but that was it. Then the summoning came out and I was floored. I've been obsssesing ever since 😂

Crazy how much your taste lines up with mine. Saw Dayseeker twice last year, maybe my favorite band in the seen right now. I discovered them a few years back, and have listened to everything they have ever done (including covers, live sets, and features 😅). Spiritbox too jumped out at me after hearing Constance, Eternal Blue has been on repeat ever since, just saw them at Heart Support Fest this past weekend 🔥, and Sleep Token….I have been obsessed ever since I heard Hypnosis last year. I was trying to get everyone I knew on the ST train. So happy they are now blowing up! And you are right, it’s these non-formulaic, genre blending bands that will help grow metal music by bringing in new fans and really just making the metal scene more diverse, both from a fan perspective and music structure perspective. They are expanding the creativity in the metal scene. You could throw Bad Omens on that list as well. Some may think that’s a bad thing, I don’t I think it is, I think it makes the scene maybe as interesting as it ever has been…..

I feel the same. Shivers when I listen to them and I haven't had that since high school. I started a record store last year and Sundowning was one of the first records I sold. I had never heard of them, but I decided to pick up a copy of the record for myself since it was kind of monumental for me. turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made! And as soon as Chokehold dropped I sold the last 3 copies I had in the store. Trying to get more, but they are not easy to get. Can't wait for Eden! it's actually dropping on my birthday!!

I discoverd them a couple weeks ago from a friend and i have been on a journey dowm the etheral rabbit hole that is sleep token. I just sit back and let vessel take the wheel and it has awakened me.

Everything you just said is exactly what I think and feel. Sleep Token is the band ive been waiting for for so long and finally! Diacovered them about a year ago but only hit me since the new singles came out. I've been a huge Deftones fan for decades, they are my no1 and Sleep Token is coming right close to the top now. No words to explain how their music makes me feel.

Completely agree, I've been a huge fan of ST for about 6 years now, and I couldn't be prouder of how popular they are getting, and how many new people are loving them, I love it. It's great to wear my ST hoodies and have people actually recognise them now, as opposed to even a year ago when people had no idea who they were....even my 60 odd year old Dad likes them now! Has them on his playlist when he's working, which is awesome. Also love your reactions with your wife, they are awesome, think me and her would get on really well lol

get stoked for the new album, but you need to do what you're talking about with their older albums...you won't be disappointed.

I'm seeing reactors getting EXCITED about music again. Like reacting became very routine for them and now they're feeling EXCITED again and I think that is really amazing in its own. I haven't felt this way about music in a REALLY long time myself, y'know? and u are SO RIGHT about the Sleep Token fan base. The first time I commented on a video about being newly obsessed with them, I got three replies offering to invite me to the ST discord server and they were all so sweet and excited about new fans. I love it!!

My daughter introduced us to Sleep Token a little over a year ago…so she gets all the credit! Lol Atlantic is my favorite…Chokehold, Sugar, The Offering…are some of my close seconds… But literally anything Sleep Token is what my husband and I…and our three kids absolutely love. My daughter in law and grand son love them too♥️ They grab you..take you in…and make you never want to leave their grasp. Spirit Box is another fav or my whole fam♥️ We want Sleep Token to take over the world in popularity! We feel like if people don’t know about them….they are totally missing out😢

Gatekeeping sucks but some people who heard the summoning said that only the end was good and completely ignored the rest of the song so I think everyone just needs to keep an open mind

First time I heard Atlantic I was like 🤤

Since I started listening to them, I've been predicting that they'd have a massive impact on music going forward. I really do believe that they'll change music and the way people listen to it. Forever. Worship.

My sister listens to a lot of pop music, I showed her sleep token and now her favorite songs are chokehold and The Summoning, my mother likes Aqua Regia, my brother likes Alkaline, there is a song for everyone in my family

Kinda funny. Sleep token has some scp lore about them so you could definitely say, they're the most popular scp band out there.

I'm 53 and I have been trying to get my old fart friends to come off of Foghat and old music in general to listen to something modern. So far only one seems mildly into it. I'm a metal musician and so are many of them so it's a bit surprising more don't seem to see the uniqueness. A lot of them just don't seem to be seeking new music for whatever reason. Their loss.

Im really happy of their grow, but I have been thinking that "not real fan'' thing on my own and at the same time I would love to introduse them to somebody, but I also think that some people over tiktok are here for only views so Im conflicted. But sure creat video!

I told someone who texted me and I was the wrong number to listen to sleep token. Hopefully they don't get stadium huge because I can't afford stadium seats or band swag. Like nin shirts were like twice the price of the website. I was cross. I also dont know where that keychain is
