Idk really what's happening in Taylor's mind. But I remember in one of her interviews, she said she won't write a break-up song about someone when she's not sure they're over. Maybe one of the reasons that we don't have many of Joe's songs is because she hasn't moved on yet. Or maybe she still has feelings for him and respects his private life.

Taylor has the issue that she cares to much about public view of her. When she was younger it was that she was always so broken-hearted and 'playing the victim' so she started to jump into new relationships quickly after a break up like Poor Tom Hiddleston or Ratty Healy to show everyone how very over it and fine she is after her 2 most important long term relationships ended. Both of those rebounds she was flaunting them- jetting around the world or jumbotron love annaucemtns 🙄 The lady doth protest too much, methinks! 😂

i was at Tampa N1 so i really hope “florida!!!” is about that so i can make that my entire personality 🫶☺️

Even though it would be so much easier to just move on and completely forget about Ratty Healy interlude i need some answers to my questions before i do that. After hearing TTPD I’m intrigued by some of the storytelling in Evermore and would love to hear your thoughts on how the two albums compare and how potentially TTPD is a continuation of these storylines that were supposedly “imagined”. Lots of themes of unhappy marriages (“Coney Island”, “it’s time to Go”, “Tolerate It”, “Happiness”), forbidden love and the-one-that-got-away vibes in songs like “Ivy”, “Willow”, “Tis the damn season”, “Dorothea”. Maybe I’m imagining it but maybe these are actually how she was feeling at the time?

Zach, i love your work. You are creative, knowledgeable and articulate yet you have some savage moments that I have come to expect from the Swiftologist.

This video is so thorough and satisfying. To answer your question…? My favorite part of the drama was when Taylor more or less confirmed that question…? was about him because I so totally knew it was pretty much right after the rumors that they were dating were starting to look convincing.

I actually think that after the you‘re losing me breakup era in 2022 they had gotten back together because of the alcott lyrics „i think i’m falling BACK in love with you“ so i think the turkey probably gobbled his way back into her life and maybe made some false promises of finally settling down (hence why they started their house buying preperation) but then she obviously realized that nothing has changed and he‘s still the same („i can fix him“) and then the ultimate end started

Edit: the show I saw was ON Matty Healy's birthday 😅😅 - I saw the 1975 live in april 2023 and then mere week after the left Australia, the Taylor Swift x Matty Healy news broke and my mind was blown. I immediately thought 'and when i meet the band' was referring to the 1975 when I heard Bejewelled but I couldn't prove it of course. I still think their fling made sense, they are both messy artists. I always had a feeling their paths had met multiple times in background and they had def had flirty fun when they were all recording their respective albums. There is always the chance it was the weirdest marketing campaign ever for their respective world tours at the time. I like to think they are just good friends tbh sooo looking forward to the album drop this weekend

the "I love you" from both of them was unhinged. I really can't contextualize it still and can't wait to learn more about the timeline. Maybe Matty has an NDA lol and we will only hear from Taylor. I was on vacation when the news broke in the Sun and then in one of the most beautiful places in the world when the pics of him at her concert dropped. I couldn't believe it and was sooooooo excited because I shipped them originally in 2014. The only regret I had is that we didn't get a collab together before they split, but I am so glad she now scratched this itch and didn't stay any longer than that. The fandom's parasocial reaction trying to control her was hilarious, and all I could think was "TOUCH GRASS".

I think there was cheating by both Joe (1st) attempted recovery of the relationship and then cheating by Taylor (2nd). A signed agreement to say nothing public for 2 years
