Yep one of the best skid loaders ever made ! I had mine 20 years before I traded it in for a track skid loader and yes I do miss the 1845C ! It was a beast !

You are right it is the best skid ever made. I have two. I had a 1835b before with 15000 hrs. The controls were worn but the engine believe it or not did not use oil. Through the years i fixed seals and a wheel motor. I use mine every day

When you change the fuel filter on those, no need to fill the filter with fuel, but it does help. The primary fuel pump/lift pump has a manual diaphragm primer pump on it. Just put the new filter on, crack that 10mm bleeder screw above the filter, and press the lever on the pump until fuel comes out of the bleeder. Usually no need to get into cracking injector lines, when done that way.

That hand pump is buried in the machine, you could just see the injector lines, ~4 inches above the main injection pump, if you are an alien, with an extra elbow you MIGHT get in there. 😂 Best wishes from the far North

Nice repairs on the skid steer there. Good choice in operator comfort with that seat. Good information & very informative on those repairs also. Thanks for sharing & take care.

Thanks for sharing the skid steer repairs, Oh yes she looked a nice machine before you washed it. After washing you just added another few thousand to it's used value, the seat and things like that really help to. I've seen way worse newer machines that are basically rent a wrecks with 1 careful lady owner and 10 idiots since L.O.L. Whats the story on the IH tractor in the shop ? It looks like a fairly straight tractor for it's age as well. Take care

I have a 1845c. When I change the fuel filter, I always bleed. Problem is…..sometimes even with a new priming pump it’s sometimes doesn’t like to prime. I’ve found that you can slightly remove the primer pump if you can’t get the lever to pump. The engine timing position sometimes blocks the priming device. When I prepare to change the fuel filters, I always run the engine then turn it off and repeat until I get easy priming. Tip of the day.

I just picked up an 1845c about 4 weeks ago and I am going thru this exact same process. Dirt built up on skid pans.. Leaking cylinders... and now Blowing hydraulic hoses with every move of the controls... It was left outside since new with very little maint. nor grease.. 2191.8 hours... And, the controls are loose as a goose... needs rebuilt as well...

ha! i liked watching U work on that case, but i highly doubt it that i would be buying a case product oh. that brand ruined me from way back in 79, we had a case loader at the siding and tipple i was loading coal at. different fellas ran it, so it got run out of fuel a lot. what a mess to restart it, we had a air hose rigged up to push the fuel thru the system, now that worked wonderful.

Lot cleaner than the ones I work on up at the farm. We have one of those case 1845c. I can't even remember when that was in are shop. Maybe just for maintenance.

Maybe I'm just fussy, but a little silicone sealant around that control panel to keep dust out. I surely do like the way you do videos. Beautiful shop to work with!

Might want to check the drive chain boxes, chain adjustments, and 30 weight non detergent oil level in them. Biggest issue we ever had with all our 1840, and1845's.

Ive never had any problem after changing a fuel filter. You just need to make sure you fill them up all the way and run it on a low idle at first not a high.
