Wow… 2 minutes in and i see how much the teammates wanted to kill eachother lowkey🤣
They focused so much on 1 on 1 strength and “toughness” that they grew to hate each other and have a terrible season 😂 phenomenal coaching 😭

Dude made a LOT of money in his career. I bet he saved it well and still has a lot of it left. Some NFL players spend it all in a 10 year-period, forgetting about inflation, health-care, property taxes, retirement, etc.

Steven Jackson had a decent season. For a running back in his 12th season to tip 700+ yards and 6 touchdowns. He at least did his part.

He did play on the Falcons briefly...but dude was a beast, one of the best of his Era. Not exactly Hall of Fame, but will be remembered. Dude had the job of following Marshall Faulk in St Louis and there was no drop off in production when Jackson stepped in. That's high praise to say you followed a Hall of Famer with no loss to the team.
I just learned that Steven Jackson was an artist and I think that's so amazing and interesting.
The guy who retired had absolutely no interest in playing professionally anymore, you could just tell. He couldn’t wait to get out of that room and away from that place.

15:09 look at the difference in size of Freeman and Jackson. Jackson in his prime was a monster.
Y’all are goated for uploading all of these hard knocks seasons
Man see, I wish somehow they did this with the NBA. It could possibly even be from Training Camp and transitioning into throughout the whole season. Just to give a narrative of some of the players and see what they’re capable of on and off the floor. Also, catch a glimpse of what the Front Office is like as well! It would’ve been kind of cool if it was documented years ago. Especially with the hierarchy of the greatest players now. Seeing Steven Jackson giving his words of wisdom to the young core, is amazing.
It's a shame the falcons didn't win a super bowl with Roddy white and Julio.

Whoever thought to put TI Go Get It at that spot knows what they're doing. Right after what the head Coach was aaying to the team, the fact that it's an Atlanta rapper, the lyrics. Great music placement right there.
Best part of this season was the reaction from Tyler Starr and his fiancé on cut day!
@30:37 damn if they didn't have helmets on dude 45 would have been done 🤣🤣🤣
Steven Jackson was a beast but when we got him he was nothing but a injury magnet

Same goes for NHL & MLB players…so what’s your point?
Appreciate the upload
I love this channel!!!
My main 2 takeaways from this episode: Steven Jackson is the man. You can tell he genuinely cared about Freeman and embraced his role as a mentor as he took the rookie under his wing. Mike Smith is a good dude. Always positive, energetic, and friendly. When I was younger I always took him for an out-of-touch boomer of a coach that was in over his head. Looking back I have a new found appreciation for him. Yeah, he may not be Andy Reid or Belichick- but not many are.. players were lucky to have a coach like Smitty.
Atlanta Falcons totally attitude NFC West Division 1970s 1980s and early 1990s toughest rivalry against Los Angeles Rams 🏈

Relaxin Jackson
kinda funny that he meant to say mano a mano but instead said mano y mano which means hand to hand, fist fighting, basically. so exactly the opposite of his message during camp.
true story ..@ 42:09 when tey're showing the guy with the dreads laughing, over his left shoulder the guy with the white t shirt is Yawin Smallwood, my dude's son, he was drafted in the 7th round out of Uconn as a MLB...was projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round....but hurt himself at the combine, but he still ran the 40(big mistake) , i forget his 40 time, but it was poor....and it dropped him all the way down to the 7th round.....He did not make the team...and now he's out of football...kinda a sad story ...
40:32 "There's no turning back when you make a decision like this." What kind of B.S. is he telling the player? Tell that to Brett Favre or about 100 others who have unretired after retiring.
@oddbigking9069

Well if he unretires he isn’t guaranteed to get picked up on a team.
I know some won’t believe me but I had a torn Achilles and my Ortho told me I’d be out for at least a year. He said crutches for 7 months. Then several months of stretching it back out being he had to cut a piece out so he could sew it back together. I proved them all wrong. I was walking normal and back to playing softball four months after I had it fixed. To this day I’ve had no problems with it. So I feel for the guy with the Achilles.
