Living with a mature couple as accountability partners is probably much "safer" than visiting each other alone in your separate apartments.

My fiancé and I moved in together 8 months before we got married. We slept in different rooms until 5 months before we got married. We didn't have sex before the wedding however there was a ton of temptation and we did things we shouldn't have. I'll be praying for you two

I lived with my fiance before we got married. I lived with my parents and a physical altercation with my dad caused me to feel unsafe (we are fine now) but I had no other family to take me in and we were engaged. We had planned to wait until married but I moved in. We were engageg 11mos and never had sex or did any thing for "relief." I will be honest it was very hard especially for him at the time but we both look back and are grateful for following through and leaning on God for strength. Though moving in for some may not feel like a temptation, we should not move based on feelings but be led by the Holy Spirit. Thank you for being so open and honest. You two are so encouraging.

Not gonna lie I was taken aback by the title, but then the explanation of the situation clarified everything. It’s a more fruitful take on the secular “living together” scenario. May you guys continue to grow in God during this time.

There is plenty of time we have our whole lives ahead of us, look to Jesus he will show you what he wants for us and will find you someone. A lot of people think that the rapture will happen but the longer I live and the more I look into the truth that I no long believe that a 7 year trib, one man antichrist and a rapture will happen. The holy spirit will guide you and give you truth in all things and this truth really set me free and God has brought me to my full potential through this revelation. Btw this video is dangerous as it may lead other couples to believe its okay to move in together and as a result they fall into sin which this couple will be accountable for and best be seeking forgiveness and repentance.

I 100% agree that God's timing is not ours so we don't know, but nowhere in the Bible does it say we have plenty of time or that we have our whole lives ahead of us. Maybe God has revealed that for you specifically, but you can't go around saying we have plenty of time when some are literally gonna be martyrs for Christ, who will stand firm to the faith to the point of death. Yes the Holy Spirit will guide us but also God does not lie. There will be a rapture. Whether it's how we imagine or not, in this generation or in the 25th century, it will happen. Take caution, my friend. For Jesus spoke on this saying, always be ready for His return, for it will come as swift and as unexpected as a thief in the night. He lived with an urgency, proclaiming that the Kingdom is at hand, and urged us to also live with this understanding. Just make sure you're confirming this revelation with the Word and in prayer!

Kaylan Fomby Hi Kaylan, yeah I do believe that Jesus is the word of God and scripture was given by God to teach us and help guide us. Some people have their whole lives ahead of them some people don’t and you will know this by history. But what some people do is live in fear and believe lies and apply this to their own life and this young women believes that she will find no one because of a common mistake by common Christians in regards to the rapture. I’m saying that yes Jesus will reign for a 1000 years and will come again. I was concerned at first but after listening it makes more sense and I am praying you guys continue with your purity leading up till marriage. I personally would not be able to do the living under the same roof as my SO regardless if we stayed in separate rooms but like you said you aren't alone. But do you guys struggle more when the couple you live with are not home and it is just you two?

Omg I am in the same situation but you guys explained this so well!! However me and my fiancé struggled with temptation a lot in the beginning so we had to really readjust our boundaries to save our purity. But now we are good :)

That’s exciting you guys! If I can make a suggestion though, I’d say to start hunting for an apartment to live in once you’re married NOW. Even if it’s passively. I’m not sure what things are like in the housing/rental market where you live, so a month might be a great amount of time, but where I am apartments are snagged quickly and you want to give yourself enough time to find something that you love!

Harleigh Stringer I’m just gonna give my thoughts on this if you don’t mind :) so physical boundaries are obviously meant to keep you physically pure (things that include physical touch), but spiritual and emotional boundaries are important too. I think it involves doing things that don’t allow for your soul to be attached to the other person in an unhealthy or impure way (only because you aren’t married yet). This could be different for everyone, but things like not praying together about problems with lust (that has to be dealt with by that person and God) - more of a spiritual boundary, and not spilling out all your emotions, especially about personal problems (this could be an emotional boundary). These are just personal things that I am considering so please don’t attack me, people 😂 But I hope that helped! And congrats on your new journey with Christ, sister! All the best to you ❤️

Be vigilant, stay focused on the Lord. Trust not in the flesh. Honor the Lord.

I know this may seem very small but it is a situation that is causing a lot of stress so prayers would be much appreciated. I moved this year and have been in this apartment for almost 4 months. A new tenant moved in above me and has recently complained about my dog barking. I have never had a complaint before even from the neighbors that were here before me or in the apartment I was in before. I don't know if he isn't an animal person or what but I know that my dog does not bark excessively as he described it to the office. However, he does get excited when people come over but I take him outside until he is calm. I don't want this to become a huge problem. Prayers that these training techniques work and that my neighbor does not complain any more.

I am currently living at home because of the quarantine shutting down colleges as well. I love my family, they are such a big part of my life but they are not Christians. I can relate to you Kian in that I am living in a worldly environment that makes it difficult to stay strong in my faith. Would you please pray for me to stand strong and be bold with my faith? But more importantly please pray for my family's salvation?

No one ever talks about this!! So many people don't have the finances to live alone in two separate places before marriage. I live in California...and idk how I would afford to keep my place, and also pay for a wedding (my living expenses alone are upward of $2000 just on necessities like rent, groceries, car insurance, electricity, phone, student loan payments etc.) I manage very well on my own....but this will definitely be an obstacle when I finally do meet someone 😬

I think it's important that you're managing on your own now and when you do meet that person you can continue to manage on your own until you're ready to join your lives together in marriage. It's so hard not to be tempted by the financial reasons to move in together and people who don't trust the Lord will try to convince you to. I think a huge part of why it's a good decision for Kian and Kyle is the accountability and influence of the other godly couple!

Serena Harney From what I understand, they have spent time alone together before. If they were going to fall into temptation in the hour that it takes for the other couple to go to the grocery store, it would be very easy for something to have happened before they lived together too. She’s said things like they don’t kiss while laying down and a few other things so they don’t get tempted.

@@alexaur3747 Even in this video they clarified that in this very specific scenario, it works for them, but they would not recommend just living together on your own, especially not sleeping in the same bed, etc. They live with another older, Christian couple who serves as accountability for them. I definitely would *not* live with my partner before marriage, and I believe theirs was a special case that through was achieved through seeking the Lord & seeking lots of counsel & accountability.

I believe that ya'll are being sincere and genuinely want to help people. It's also really convicting to see a young couple fighting to be an example for God ❤️❤️❤️ I commend your honesty and transparently in sharing this. I think the only thing I didn't hear about in this video was how this would make God feel. You touched on how your audience might feel about this video, how you all and your advisors felt about your decision to move in together, but not really how God felt...So I wanted to bring His perspective to the conversation...How would God feel about his son and his daughter living in the same house before marriage? It's not so much about our own personal temptations or what makes us personally struggle, but the whole idea behind following Christ is that we become ambassador's for Christ, and our lives are no longer about ourselves, but how we can set an example and help bring others to Christ (2 Corinthians 5:15, 20). Waiting until marriage to have sex is beautiful and rare these days, but purity in God's eyes is a lot deeper than just not having sex - it starts with the heart to desire to follow God's Word and to live according to what it says. I was thinking of these two Scriptures: "How can a young person stay on the path of purity? What if someone takes your advice/follows your example - thinking that it doesn't tempt them - and it leads them into impurity/immorality? Is that okay, since this is not something you all personally struggled with? Unfortunately, there could be a possibility that you and the council you've been getting have not been sourcing your guidance from the Scriptures 😢 and sadly, you could've be deceiving yourselves into doing what you want or what felt right and was most convenient for you at this time (James 1:22); unfortunately labeling your decision as God's direction to you. But God would never give instruction that contradicts His Word. Saying this with all of my love!! You're incredibly talented Kian (huge fan of your vlogs!!) and I love your heart for God. I would be happy to talk through this more and hear any Scriptures that you may have used to guide this decision if you're open to it! I also realize this video was made a while ago, so it could also be that you take a different stance on this now (just didn't see a disclaimer or anything indicating that your heart/mind has changed since - so sorry if I missed this! 🙏🏽). For anyone seeing this, I want to encourage you to always go to the Bible to find your answers and weigh the advice you're getting (even if it's coming from religious people) against what the Scriptures say, so you can truly know if your direction is coming from God. I also do personal Bible studies if anyone is interested in getting to know God in this way! ❤️ Love you Kian and Kyle and thank you for continually holding space for Jesus to be preached. 🙏🏽

Hey. I have lots of love for you both, always in my prayers and I fully understand why you'd 'live' together. seems like such a blessing :) I was wondering though, and this comes from a place of love, why you refer to waiting till marriage as "pure"? I find this hard as although I would agree that waiting till marriage is the way (and what I am currently doing) I feel only God makes us pure and this can't come from our actions. As someone who has had sex in the past, your video on being a born again virgin really spoke to me and I just question the term "pure". Maybe it is silly but the word pure and purity have so many negative connotations to me and if Jesus saved us surely despite any of our sins we are pure? x x

love this comment and not silly at all. I personally use this word in the same way as kian but its an act of purity. yes Jesus has cleansed us from past sins and made us pure, white as snow, but by using the word "pure" I believe they're referring to keeping, yourself pure. of course like kian has talked about being a born again virgin, Jesus cleanses us once again. Galatians 5:19-21 talked about how sexual immorality and impurity are acts of flesh. when we revert to flesh/ act solely out of flesh desires they are impure because our flesh acts solely on the desires on the world. of COURSE God can cleanse us again and make us pure, and our actions are not what cleanses us but our actions can reflect purity. hope that makes sense!

Purity is a really interesting concept and it's also a concept that has been distorted a bunch. Purity is not an action, it is a makeup of oneself. Purity, being white as snow, is at first glance talking about "no sin," which is true, but even more so about looking like Jesus. Purity is not about doing the right thing, it is about looking like Jesus, which happens as a result of of being with Him. And Its His love and transformation that empowers us to walk out a life of purity. That is why Kyle and Kian can live together without temptation. They both have real living relationships with a perfect and loving God and the purity, their likeness unto the image of God, is a result of that relationship that they have built. In regards to why it is pure. Marriage is about a man and a woman becoming one. Sex is also the coming together as one. Marriage is God bringing two together, sex is man and woman coming together as one. Sex before marriage would be to get ahead of the timing of God and to actually put the bringing to oneness in the hands of man instead of the hands of God. One is the tree of life and one is the tree of knowledge of good and evil (the Do it yourself DIY path apart from God). Plus God always has great reasons for everything he sets in place for us! I hope I was able to answer your question well.

i think "purity culture" is very toxic. at least it has been to me personally and has been to a lot of my christian friends. i don't think it's cool how the church preaches that if you have very normal feelings and tendencies as a person, you need to tame it, and how if you have had sex you are no longer pure, and it leaves a lot of gray area for things that are not penetrative sex but are other types of sex. i think waiting for marriage is a good idea for some people but that forcing yourself to do it just because the church told you to all your life and without any conviction for it does more harm than good. everyone has to read in the word for themselves, discern for themselves, and pray for themselves on what to do and know that it might look different depending on the relationship or the season or it may be consistent for you.

I’m not sure your state being one of the first to open up is a blessing or a good thing tbh 😬😬
