@@codycreason8071 I've done a Brushless conversion on a revo 3.3 and it's a nightmare. The transmission gears in a Traxxas nitro truck are plastic and can't hold up to the Brushless power.

Dude, a giant 8S Erevo is exactly what dreams are made of. I'm having one heck of a time deciding on my next RC truck😵 Crawler 4 or 6 wheels? Fast or slow?💥 Lockers/gear select or Speed!? 1/5scale trophy truck or monster🤷

Pinch the fuel line next time to turn it off. It has the red piece on the fuel tubing for that from factory. 👊👊👍👍

At 8:01 I heard someone whining about tire noise ... I know it wasn't you because smart people, off roaders, and people who own Monster Trucks only buy application specific tires and if the tires make to much noise (like on a monster truck) you just run a big block hemi with open headers. Voilà! No more tire noise!

Revo 3.3 is one of the better RC's I've had. Nitro is so expensive. I'm happy technology has came so far with electric. My kraton 8s is a beast.

I installed an O.S. 18tz on my Gen 1 Revo back in the day. After installing that engine the Revo would back flip all day long without even trying!!

I would go with a momentary switch on the radio for the starter! It will save you accidentally leaving it on and burning out the starter system. Great job either way!!👍🏻

It's an engine monster RC car I haven't seen in a long time. I really like the engine sound. But these days, engine RC cars don't sell much in Korea, so I'm upset. Watching him jump, I scream without realizing it. cool. I enjoyed watching it. thank you.👍👍👍

Os 11k carb would make the 3.3 run better and easier to tune i had problems with the stock carburettor and couldnt get it to idle properly when i put the os carb on it it worked wonders they been discontinued there may be some knocking about on ebay

Very interesting video - well done to Redfin - and nice to see support for the local model shop. I had a nitro Revo as my first nitro - loved the idea, but it was a pain - ended up selling on - but that was 10 years ago. I tried several 'optional, more powerful motors' as well ... they did exist - probably more available now! Loved that other motor as well!! Shiny!! Al.

The 3.3 is ok but the o.s maxx nitro engines will clown the 3.3 all day long, the o.s really is a "powerhouse" rc engine that's very easy to tune as well as hold the tune so your not always having to tinker with the carb like you do with the traxxas.

@@exp2tr10t just look on ebay or go to your local hobby shop and I'm sure they can probably get one sent in for you. The other. Option you have if you don't want to spent $250+ is to just but an o.s 11k carburetor and put that on the 3.3. That traxxas motor is no slouch by any means ita just getting it to the right tune and to hold it. By swapping the carb out for an 11k it totally changes the way that 3.3 performs and it actually surprised me to be honest. The other thing is I have a o.s cvr 18 engine that I'd probably be willing to sell if you would be interested ill give you my email and we'll talk more about that if you are interested just let me know

I got a HSP Warhead Nitro a few months ago, it's so god damn fun but every time I take it out something breaks, last time I took it out I had the throttle servo die on me when I was gunning it full throttle and had a runaway, took it home and fixed it, took it back out that afternoon and ran a good 20 tanks of fuel before the engine had slightly come loose and the 2 speed gearbox got stripped. That sweet grace period between fixing and breaking where, even for only 15 minutes, everything actually works perfectly on a Nitro, is well worth the hassle imo.

Love the remote start can't believe it's not a standard feature on all nitro RC cars. The Traxxas engine isn't the best it tends to run really hot which is probably down to the head being too small also the manifold is made out of some of the worst "metal" I have ever seen it really is made like chocolate

Yes! Try the Maverick , the brushless version is quite really good for the price, tho im not sure how trully durable it is..

not durable at all, don't recomend for anyone, in one week driving in short grass with a 2s, already bend one of the shocks, 2 pivot balls, broke an arm and a rear turnbuckle, and i've got the "upgraded" plus version, almost got me out of the hobby

Nice to see nitro revo again! You may need to upgrage the clutch bell to harder material than stock to handle that metal spurgear. I was driving yesterday with my nitro revo and also stripped the spur gear. It is weak and sand eats it very fast.

Great Video! I used to have a revo 3.3 I put a pico .26 big block in it and it ripped But Nitro has too many problems that can happen So I still prefer the 6s 2.0 Erevo hands down

I like nitro it sounds cool it looks cool but the headaches that come along with it is not for me I tried racing theM semi professionally but you have to rely on a pit man - woman tuning the carb can be frustrating Electric is way more reliable in most cases faster and better throttle control Setting up the breaking can be tedious but hey at the end of the day it's what ever puts a smile on your face 😁 Love the vids Kev 🔥👍✌️

Put a JR.Robison spur gear on my HPI Savage that I converted over to an XL with a LRP 32. That spur gear has held up threw 3 other engine's. Axial 32, HPI stock engine, axial 28. No issues

The amount of times I've needed that on my nitros is quite a bit, but at least I've had the exercise while walking to get the cars.

I miss my nitros but recently went electric. Had a Revo 3.3 and Tmaxx 2.5. The 3.3 is good but keeps splitting the connecting rod. It's nice now with my E-Revo 2.0 to pop in the batteries and go.

I did like the nitro but once I got into the electric there just way better all around way more power dont gotta worry about glow plugs fuel none of that bull crap .... love the vid

I don't know if it will help, but maybe putting duck/gorilla tape on the inside of the speed racer tires. Those area some really nice tires you have for the speed racer. Can't wait to see the next attempt. Good luck

An Xmaxx size E Revo or bigger would be great.. What size nitro engine would power it? Gas has its place but nitro has that aroma that is so nostalgic. Maybe a 16 cc heli engine
