Wish the Ranger had an available 6ft bed but above all else Quality Control is everything!!

60 years old. Lifetime of trucks. Never had a single issue of scratches or rust under a plastic bedliner. Always clean and undamaged underneath.

Same here. My 2005 Silverado looked like it just came out of the factory last year. I sold it, and the buyer looked. I was shocked. P.S. Aren't the beds aluminum or something now?

You can get a 700hp f150 from factory for 50k. Ranger is not even in the conversation.

I want to see the off-roading of all the top trims, no mid level trim stuff. All comparables via trim level, not Andre's colorado vs a ranger raptor, just isn't fair.

@@marklihsu if it's in same price range or trim level, it is very fair 🤔. Toyota f-ed up, is all, they got front sway bar disconnect on hunter trim and that should be placed against the raptor and zr2.

@@marklihsu I think @Skraales is absolutely correct, with the same price or way less than the trail hunter. You will get three lockers, 3.0 engine， or 35 from ZR2 bison. Toyota is done. Business is a fair game, people shop for less money with more features. The reliability card is not valid anymore for the new Toyotas.

A few dealers in Southern California have the Ranger Raptor advertised on Auto Trader for $80,000 while they have a sticker price of $59,000. I’m not paying the ridiculous markup, especially when we have 10% sales tax here.

@@marklihsu We have CARB rules. The out of state vehicle would have to comply with CARB plus you owe the difference is sales tax from the state of purchase to what you would have owed in California. In this case, a Ranger shouldn’t have CARB issues since they are not offered in a hybrid power train.

Honestly 57k is a lot, but compared to f150s and everything else it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I mean an explorer st is around that price if not more now a days. The ranger raptor is more capable than that “sorta depends on what you’re comparing” but with the same motor.

been looking at the price for a '24 gladiator Rubicon.. The Raptor is still cheaper and better on road i'd assume. I would choose the Raptor over the Rubicon since i'd be driving it on road 70% of the time.

Very Nice! Congrats TFL. Great video Roman! I am really looking forward to all your upcoming Ranger Raptor content. Maybe try and talk Kase into doing a how to install the bed j-braces under it, since you have that nice truck lift should be pretty easy to film. I am waiting on my Ranger Raptor to arrive, and I know I need to add those bed j-braces braces, since my crossover tool box weighs more then 88lbs. Ford says anything over 88lbs on top the bed sides we need to add the j-braces.

Ranger has always been my favorite small truck. I prefer the older smaller models //regular cab/manual trannys of the late 90s early 2000s. These new rangers are like the full size trucks of the 90s.

Andre covered all this already. He’s pretty good. 🎉

I like that they did the Grenadier thing with the overhead switches in the States. The Rangers we have in Kenya don't have that, but I hope the newer models will have that as an option.

I just got home with mine I did order the bead lockers and I did get hot pepper The cruise control is a little different from what I normally use will take some time to get acquainted with lol I love it woohoo 🙌

Ford in Australia and SEA is cooperating with ARB on off road accessories like bull bar, LED light bar, roller shutters, roof racks and the likes.

I hope they offer the 6 foot bed on the Ranger in the future.

Most newer turbo powered vehicles are required to have premium gas to get the preferred MPG or performance and the way our environment is working where 91 octane is more expensive than Regular?

Do they have rock sliders instead of the silly step platform and skid plates for the Ranger Raptor?

Love the truck. Didnt that 3.0 twin turbo first come out in the 2017 Lincoln Continental with 400hp/400ft lb tq?

It looks nice, but I dont like how the vent controls are in the center screen not a physical button. If the screen happens to be nonoperative and you need to get the vents to go to the defrost setting you cant. I know everyone was/is hating that the light controls on the GM trucks but at least a high percentage of the time they will be on automatic to start with so you will at least get the basics with them. With ford that can really cause issues.

What’s the height clearance with the antenna on top?

You guys shoukd frame the Monroney stickers of all of the new vehicles you buy and have them in the waiting room.

Would love to see how baby/toddler car seats fit in all of the mid-size trucks! Very hit or miss on a lot of channels for this specific topic.

Those duff-locks buttons should've been on the top if the screen I the same place that Bronco Raptor has it. Since that Ranger Raptor came with that small screen that they can but physical buttons with for those Diff-locks similar to the Bronco.

What kind of dealer mark ups are regular people going to see on these?

Heard F-150 Raptor done away with front locker, now using braking (taking a page from Jimny)? But many people still said that's no less capable than Torsen. And if remember correctly, somewhere someone said Torsen doesn't work well if one wheel gets unloaded? Ranger Raptor still has a front lock. Can you do a deep dive with how offroad capabilities compare with the F-150 & Ranger Raptors? Especially with the difference with the front diff? Can Raptor actually be more capable or better without a front locker? Or is Ranger Rap better with some situations?

Leather seats yes, but they are also unique to the Raptor along with the entire suspension. This isn't just a FX4+

Is the bed on that truck aluminum? It might not rust without any bed liner. Still should get it .

Excited to see the Ranger Raptor tested. Would like to see a high speed corrugated/whoops test with the Mojave, Raptor, TRD Pro as you get them. It'd be a great additional real world test. Most buyers will be more likely to experience washboard more than any other off-hwy condition. Too bad the TRD Pro spent more on seats than better A-arm travel like the Raptor.

What dealership gave it to you for msrp? In SoCal I’ve had two dealers tell me 25k/20k over msrp.

As a self proclaimed Toyota fan. The new ranger has me getting ready to trade in my Tacoma.

Ranger Raptor has 33” tires, not 34” tires. Same as ZR2 Colorado Ford Raptor is compatible to Colorado ZR2, not the ZR2 Bison. ZR2 is $5k less expensive. Personal choice whether or not more expensive Raptor is worth it. Sweet truck - congrats! Looking forward to more videos/info on this one.

I saw some discounted zr2s in the high $40s but if you want the 35" zr2 at4x you will be in the high $50s low $60s.

@@duramaxadventures5832 ZR2 is top of food chain Colorado, Raptor is top of food chain for Ranger. Bison is just throwing money away unless you want to rock crawl. I’ve spec’d both out, and the Raptor is $6k more. It’s a nice truck, but it should be for the price premium, and assuming you could buy at sticker.

What would a R trim you mentioned add to this Raptor? This truck seems Fantastic as is vs TRDs. Oh and yes, the marker lights need to be added.

Why the huge cost gap for the Bronco Raptor vs the Ranger Raptor? I thought they used lots of the same parts.

Guys, I love the new Ranger Raptor. When y’all compare it to the competition yall seem to manipulate the the price of the RR to be close to average for the segment. My first point is, the RR was bought for $57,000 and a new Colorado ZR2 is MSRP as $48,000. The ZR2 beats the RR at everything. It has better: approach, ground clearance, Breakover angle, towing and (I’m pretty sure payload too). The ZR2 has the same as the RR: lockers(2), Interior, torque, tire size and suspension. The RR beats the ZR2 at: HP, and departure (by 1 degree). And there is $7000 between these!!!!! My second point: since the RR and TRD Pro/ Trailhunter are $57,000+ y’all compare it the the $60,000 ZR2 Bison. The only thing these have. In common are $$$. The ZR2 Bison literally beats everything in its class at off-roading (except maybe the jeep gladiator Rubicon on 37 AEV). The point is, why bye a Ranger raptor or taco Trailhunter/TRD Pro when a cheaper truck can do the job better then the competitors? This is where I’m referring to: 14:58.

Agree. Except the payload. The RR has better payload than the ZR2 and much better than the Bison. The payload for the Bison is below 1,000 pounds or just above it because of all the steel protection. For offroading the Bison runs circles around the RR.

Howdy, Can you confirm the gas tank has a plastic or steel skid plate? I heard it’s plastic. May want to get a skid plates before going to Moab if it’s plastic!
