"Are you pirate legend?" "I think so" The guy almost reached Pirate Legend all on his own, mainly, through solo slooping. Stayed honest and true in a game full of griefers and bad mouthers. This guy was a pirate legend before becoming pirate legend.

What an amazing adventure!! That’s my dad, and yeah he’s been play SoT every day since August. He’s such a genuine, sweet, funny guy and looks a lot like his character. 😆 He had so much fun, and loved the comments on the stream when he found it. He’s been beaming ever since. Thanks Happy! ❤️

It's nice to see someone doing literally anything other than pvp in Sea of Thieves. There's so many underrated features of this game due to over 90% of the community treating it as "Sea of Trolls" instead of having the slightest inkling of creativity or adventure.

So glad someone agrees. Like, sure if you want to PvP or steal or whatever, go right ahead, but I personally don't see how watching someone tuck a FotD for the 50th is entertaining.

I love how we pirates can be totally bloodthirsty but when we run into a friendly newer player we just want to be friendly and helpful.

The only thing that would have made the video even more adorable would have been if he was playing with the pirate princess 👸🏼 at the time. My 7 year-old daughter is usually his bossy co-captain and watching her order him around is one of the funniest things ever! 🤣

I am literally so flustered with the wholesomeness of this guy when he said "Well that sounds fun! That sounds really fun" on just them describing "you fight a ton of skeletons, and get lots of loot". Sometimes I feel like me and my generation take for granted just how much novelty we have available to us! Really glad they helped this guy out

Such a fun video of happy and my dad! It was so generous of you to help him get PL and show him the ropes with FotD. He was so excited to have all of us watch it! My dad's in his 50s and he always had the dream to work for the navy (we're german, so not the US Navy in general, but the equivalent). He's a police officer for the river police, though and kinda fulfilled his dream like that. However he is into pirates big time, so he got the game years ago and we played it together for a bit. Sadly he lost interest in it very fast, since you are basically in pvp mode all the time and therefore we got sunk a lot. I'm not too good in the game, because I'm more of a pve casual player in games and so is my dad. I'm still playing it and just recently hit pirate legend myself. But I'm a bit sad, that my dad can't find too much joy in the game, since it seemed to fit so great. He does enjoy just sailing around doing a little bit of "ship rp", but it obviously ends pretty quick, once we spot other players coming for us. It would be cool if you could flag yourself as pvp or pve, like in WoW. But I guess most reaper players would hate that...

That skele fleet is actually a great recommendation for learning cannons and what to do whilst under immense pressure. OoS voyages or flameheart for positioning, or at least learning positioning, cause skele ships tend to nearly always try be besides you.

@@xhsd5538 oh they're pretty much next to impossible solo even if you have kegs to take the galleons out with. Having 8 cannons pointed at you and like 32 crew members against you isn't the best lol.

@@xhsd5538 I know this is an old comment and someone responded but I agree with them, fleets solo isn't *impossible* but it's borderline impossible. If you end up with ships using Weary Ball or Dance Ball, you're almost certainly not going to succeed. The fleets SPAM those curse balls and you can end up stunlocked into sinking, it honestly, seriously needs a balance change.

We are quiet new, playing sometimes solo and sometimes with 1-2 friends for a couple of weeks now so i dont know if it was nerfed recently but i tried my luck with the fleet a few times now. We really are not that good, usually get sunk in pvp but single skeleton gallys are fine by now. On open water i just get destroyed, even as duo sloop or on the brigg we just got screwed. After watching some tips i have to say it seemed quiet possible the last time we tried duo if it wasnt for that reaper coming in on the last wave (ended up running). Maybe people see it as an exploit but Phuzzy explained in one of his videos that there are always rocks near the fleet and that you can use those to your advantage. We tried it out and it really worked quiet well. When parking at the rocks your ship can only get hit on one side which really helps staying afloat. Apparrently the ai isnt the smartest either so they may also run into each other or crash into the rocks itself because skeleton ships will always keep moving. That didnt happen in our try but still using the rock as a shield made the fight signifficantly easier. We just stood our ground, fired and bucketed at them and used the time when they circeled out of range to fix the ship. Sure solo still is a different story but considering how good this worked despide how bad we usualy are i would imagine a competent solo slooper could deal with the whole fleet that way.

This guy should be streaming, i would definitely watch him.

I’ve had the opportunity to guide about 3-4 pirates through that ending scene where they open Athena’s fortune for the first time, and it’s always refreshing to hear their excitement.

This whole video was nothing but a vibe and wholesome mess. I played early on console when it was only on it and got around 35 for the three main companies. I was gunning for PL, but there was nothing to do compared to what there is now. I just started last week and hit 50 gold hoarders a few days ago, need 9-8 levels in merchant and 10 levels in OoS. If this old feller can do it while keeping a smile on his face and enjoying every minute of it, by god I can do it too
