I like the way Kratos responds to “Can I turn into an animal?” It’s such a innocent question to ask after hearing such a life altering revelation and the way Kratos just sort stumbles back and takes in that response, it’s like this is the first he’s seeing somewhat of a positive, almost joyous side to godhood. Too bad it doesn’t last all that long.

the only way to get the stuff you missed in Hel is to go back with atreus

Yeah, the Valkyries are basically 'challenge Bosses'. They're challenging fights (some of which are EXTREMELY challenging), mostly sealed behind those runic gates (a couple of them aren't, one in Muspelheim, one in Nifelheim, in arenas that give you plenty of room to trigger them on your own terms). They give out PRIMO loot, though, including some of the best armor and weapon hilts in the game. Once you've taken out the ones in the open world, you can then seek out the Valkyrie Queen, Sigrun. Like most boss fights in video games, the trick to them is learning how to read their tells to understand the best way to counteract the move they're about to pull on you. That's why it's best to try them as you find them, feel out each fight over the course of a couple of deaths, and think about how you're going to handle what they throw at you tactically. You probably COULD handle the first two or three Valkyries as you are now, but it would be a bit of a project. A lot of people save most of the valkyrie fights for the post-game.

There's a lot to talk about from this episode, but I'll just say that there's a difference between being "bad" at a game and just not understanding all the controls. There are a ton of people that played this game, and ostensibly knew the controls, but repeatedly made all the worst decisions or just chose not to use what they were given, or even worse, flat-out ignored what the game was telling them and failing repeatedly because of it. Genuinely, this playthrough has been a breath of fresh air by comparison. I typically watch these playthroughs to get differing perspectives on the story, since different people may see details I missed or have a different read on a scenario, and that helps me form a more rounded opinion of the media. But... I'd be lying if I said it doesn't feel good to watch people that are actually _good_ at video games play for a change.

Also idk if this has been mentioned, but kratos shield is on his wrist... its the expandable gauntlet. He doesn't pull it out of air😂👍🏼

Point for enemies to remember “If it’s red you’re dead. If it’s yellow you’re mellow”. (For blocking and dodging)

My most genuine comment - as much as it might be easy to "respond to comments"... in gameplay, they don't help that much (as it's always after the event), but also as you go on, you might get more focussed on being viewer-focused. The greatest charm of this channel (IMO) is that it comes across as just two very close friends (even if mother/daughter) having a fun time. The more you become aware of the audience, the more you're likely to start worrying about having '"produced content". Make the most of this time when you can be more of yourselves. That is so endearing, and heart-warming to see you two interacting this way. Also - kudos for doing the clean-version uploads. That's so sweet in a world where people expect all content to be adult content. Edit - but if you wanted to listen to commenters back-seating... the Valkyries are meant to be hard, but they're also very much pattern-based. This was a hard one as your first as Kara has minions to distract you. It's ok to do end-game (when you're on god-roids) but it's also fun to have tried earlier on - even if it doesn't make for the best content unless you edit. If you play Bloodborne - you can pretty well play anything in GoW.... Have faith in yourself.

How resurrection stones work: losing a fight after using the stone = keep, but winning a fight after using the stone = lose. When you die, the game will all your items like it never happened, so don't be afraid to go all out.

What have I always taught you? *Atreus:* (sigh) "Puzzles before parenting"... *Kratos:* Correct. I love video games.

Atreus's electric arrows are amazing for multiple enemies and his reload is really fast now, so don't be afraid to spam that and his runic attack

Atreus has the best "kid" response to finding out he's a god. "I'm a god!? What superpowers do I have?" Of course he would ask questions like that. I'd have done the exact same thing.

yes him mom is mortal but she is still norse, norse (meaning north) are people from scandinavia.

This also applies when you have one of the big guys stunned and you're running and carrying them Aim them at others or off ledges (this'll be useful in fire lands, minor spoiler)

When swinging misc monsters (such as nightmares), you can adjust the throw by turning camera to help throw them into others

I’ve been playing Ghost of Tsushima for about three weeks, getting every trophy to reach the platinum. And I’m already in the third act of its narrative. One of the best PlayStation games ever made in the 2020s! 🤩 Totally recommended!

Resurrection Stones ARE one-time use, and you can only carry one at a time... but if you lose the fight totally, including the use of the resurrection stone, it sends you back to your last checkpoint... which is usually BEFORE you got into that fight, which means you have your stone back. If you use your resurrection stone and then WIN a fight after being rezzed, THEN you need to go buy a new one.

So, the Bridge Keeper's heart looks like it was made up of green Nyquil and Vick's Vaper Rub. No wonder he got better so quickly.

Also, now is a PERFECTLY good time to explore.

Both travelers armor and Dwarven armor is pretty decent midgame armor. My favorite is dwarven though

LMAO Valkyries are optional bosses with their own quest. Each one drops unique gear that is honestly some of the strongest. They all have different behaviors and they are where I really got a lot of the combat systems down. It is worth doing (when you are ready lol) because the quest itself is really cool. It's been a bit since I played GoW (2018) but man, I love this soundtrack.

Hey just a tip *no spoilers* but that attack i mentioned wrath of the frost ancient yeah your really going to need it soon and at least let be level 2.

rez stones are one time use, but you keep reloading to before you used it with checkpoints. If you use it up, then win the fight, you'll need to buy a new one

Defense is key in this game. Once you master your shield and dodging and evading then your offense will flow.

don't forget you can press L3 + R3 to stop your spartan Rage at any moment and save it for later 😊😊

The volume on these videos is still very low, like I can't even hear a lot of the convos you two are having with my fan on in the background on n otherwise quiet day. Just a suggestion to raise your max volume so people can then just adjust accordingly on their speakers/headphones! Great video!

You are good with the shield. Just go with the feel. There were three instances where your use of shield was very impressive. Good job!!🎉 Somebody has mentioned the ressurection stones thing in comments, so extra tip, you can cancel using resurrection stones if you want. Just miss the trigger for using them (wait out the slow-mo section). Doing Bloodborne at the same time is struggle, I get it. Have fun, no pressure; the story is a very fun experience and dont want to ruin it for you.
