Edit: HOTR was 3 targets, not 4 apologies for slip-up on this. Went from 4x damage, to 2x in PTR, to 3x damage now.

At the moment, Holy Shield accounts for 2% of our damage, which is extremely low. There is no scaling at all. Holy Shield AP per def > Sp per def period.
As a 20+ years of experience holy Paladin I like the idea of atleast making consecration raid wide is needed removing horn of lorderon means I will not be in melee groups. Making this of very little usefulness, divine light is very situational at best, making really the only real change of substance increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of holy shock (now 1 of our most efficient heals)

I feel at this point it's better for us to take more aggro runes because only real healing runes for us are fanaticism, sacred shield, and infusion of light if I remember correctly. The rest feel negligible to our healing kit. I'm personally gonna play a shockeye paladin build.

The fact that WoW players don't seem to understand that they have free agency as adults is astounding to me. People don't have to raid twice weekly if they don't want to, but their min/max reptile brains are forcing them to apparently. It's honestly very sad to me, that people cannot make healthy decisions for themselves -- don't raid twice weekly if you don't want to. Simple as that.

It’s more complicated than that when you’re rostered in a guild. When there are people willing to do it but you aren’t you get benched and then you’re not raiding at all.

@@brokkrgames2778this is going to be an extremely niche group of gamers though. "Please allow for less raiding every week for everyone because my schedule only allows once a week raid logging" is a bad argument all around. Join a more casual guild or PUG stuff. Best thing about phases 1-2 was the incredible ability to PUG stuff. I had three geared alts just logging in, looking on bulletin board (add on), and joining groups. Almost nobody was complaining about the frequency of raids lockouts in phases 1-2 and all of the sudden it matters because "end game". Considering there are editable difficulty levels, I'm thinking the base difficulties are going to be timed to be VERY pug friendly. It doesn't make sense not to.

I'm excited for shockadin changes, Zirene was talking about it and someone even pitched dual wield shockadin . My idea is maybe using a seal of righteousness + crusader attack speed + seal of vengeance DoT damage, but that's just me. Would love to see it use caster weapons and not melee (rogue/war) weapons or hurt 2h ret spec, that's my big concern, so nerfing the physical damage, buffing holy sp dmg, and requiring holy shock usage would be the play. Shockadin might not come to life this phase tbh due to gear but at least he wants to do more for shockadin eventually and I just want to see what it'll be however it turns out. I was a bit surprised to see them change vindication to be a shockadin rune instead of righteous vengeance but that's cool. I think prot pally abilities just need to scale better off SP, I like the idea of tweaking blessing of sanctuary. Sheath of Light being more designated for ret is a good thing imo. Maybe prot also needs a seal of vengeance DoT to add to their spell damage threat. I think strength converting to SP for prot pallies might be better than defense, but idk I guess defense might have better weight scaling for the stat pool. I'm not knowledgeable on tanking/prot, but I also think the guarded by light mana regen is an issue for prot pallies from what I've heard. Big agree on the auras. great video as usual brother

For warlocks they could make the rune that refreshes corruption on legs also do unstable affliction. Also make new shadow flame boot rune be able to use with UA. Also allow nightfall procs be used why channeling / casting when new soul siphon rune is on kinda similar to fireblast for mages.
Frontstabbing is a little bit weird, it kills the class fantasy imo
*Sees Shock and Awe Rune* Uh... That's getting Nerfed. That is something silly like 400 Spell Power and Healing in Avengers and Change. T3 is like 700 +Healing and 250 Spell Power... T2 = 550 Spell Power The biggest issue here is Survivability. Holy Shock Paladin is already THEE most Survivable paladin by far... Having Roughly +50% More "Mobile Healing" Example: Sacred Shield + 1 FoL every 12 is about 250-300 HPS on PTR... Same with Priest, Druid, Shaman's mobile healing. Holy Shock Adds +150 HPS. +200 Spell Power = +40 HPS These numbers sound rather minimal... 450 vs 490 HPS. But if you understand HPS Mechanics this can EASILY make an Hpally take 33% Longer to die or more. Offense Gains are also rather significant. BUT NOTHING Compared to the Defensive gains sense if Enemy was doing 100 DPS before through your HPS... Reducing that to 60 DPS is a much bigger deal then Holy Shock, JoR, SoR, Consecration, Exorcism HITS 10-15% Harder. Oh god... forgot Hollowed Ground... (how are these Paladins ever going to die?) GOOD NEWS in all this is that Vidicator Rune Basically got Slapped on to MOST Non-Holy Shock Paladins for FREE... and although other OFFENSIVE Rune Slot Options are HILLARIOUSLY BAD... Divine Light is NO JOKE for PvP and Much Much needed for such Paladins. I never got to test its Push Back Mechanics on PTR... but it's VERY likely it has Wrath Pushback Mechanics like every other rune... so .5 >> .25 >> Nothing basically. Rather then Classic WoW's 1s >> .5 >> .25 >> .125 >> on and on half of a half of a half. So Less Mobile HPS but more Stationary HPS (aka Normal Paladin Play style)
Im glad they reverted the MC twice a week change, because it was all but forcing all guilds to raid twice as much as they were before. Was worried there for a minute, because the burnout wouldve been real xD

paladins actually need to have good spellpower scaling before they can effectively swap out attack power for it IMO, Paladin spellpower in classic needs a rework

I finally made a choice and stopped flip flopping in and out of SoD, even though phase 4 looks like 90% of what I wanted with lots of content but its to late. What it breaks down to is, phase 1, 2, and 3 lasted way to long and should have been max one month each. They took too long and my guild fell apart. But thats not even why I decided to quit in th end. There are 2 big factors for me, first and most important, hand of rag, the legendary elemental weapon from the fire god himself, had a glow up for druids and not the class whos class fantasy is controlling the elements, shaman. That is just a level of dumb I didn't know was possible. Second ffxiv is dropping an expansion right now, and I want to do the new raid content and ultimate that will follow, get some elden ring in my raiding instead of falling asleep in raid. Love you tello, ill be back for the next seasonal server if they have one, for now im out.

You’re missing a big point in the prot pally conversation imo. It’s not only damage you need to discuss its threat. Right now you pretty much have to be ret tanking to hold threat. Threat>Damage. Number are awesome but threat is the most important thing.

Its not something that passed my mind even doe I have not mentioned it. TPS or threat per second matters a lot. Holy damage used to be busted earlier phases with holding threat I remember clearly the conversations amongst others. Now with exo spam back on the table that same threat generation I believe is gonna happen again with no changes to AoW Ret tanking with Vengeance will be better than full mitigation before gaining the 6pc set to maybe consider Holy Shield. However, I have a feeling if we lead into the phase with what is now in the ptr, Ret tanking will be used more often than not.

Warlock changes are hot garbage. A new DoT that can't be used with Unstable Affliction. Aff locks weren't using immolate. The dev in charge of these changes are incompetent or malicious.

Yea affliction is something I been trying to get attention to cause it's a spec neglected for every phase. This could be the phase they make legitimate changes if they focus on the PTR forums from what others are saying.

Affliction lock is possibly the best original classic wow 1v1 class in pvp. I think they haven’t buff them much like rogue and warrior for similar reasons. I think they still should make them have a utility aspect not just debuffs, if they can’t buff their damage being responsible with pvp.
Casters will be bad in raids simply because melee massively outscale them and they refuse to do anything to properly compensate for this. Also the shadowflame change really missed the mark and showed that indeed no one on the dev team has any understanding whatsoever of warlock.

I don't believe seal twisting should be the meta when we have to sit and stare at a swing timer instead of dodging mechanics or supporting our raids. Paladin has always been a support class as all specs and you should always have awareness of what's going on instead of tunnel visioning on a swing timer, that's ridiculous.

Yea I would like if there is support to Seal of command to proc when divine storm happens or maybe off crusader strike and the seal itself doesn't need to be useful only for twisting needs and can still proc its damage. This way we can focus on other things. Key thing for me overall is improving the main talents in the game than just adding more runes. Vindication now is a perfect example of this.

I made a post about frost mage on the warcraft forums, had a lot of people agree with it "What a frost mage actually wants." To sum it up, frost mage doesn't feel like you're playing frost, it is the exact same rune and rotation as fire, and with how winter's chill works for top parsing mages having a frost mage in the raid is going to matter. The main problem isn't the fact it does less dmg than fire (not by a lot) it's that it is the exact same playstyle, but you put the talent points in frost. Rune placements don't make sense, why would brain freeze be paired with spell power, it needs to be switched with deep freeze on helm so it competes with hot streak, there's no reason to use ice lance ever, fingers of frost proc rate is terrible it needs to be increased, the 15% crit from burnout is just better. Frostfire bolt is too dominant for frost and fire, it's just boring to play that spec, I think at one point i had the #2 parse as a frost mage in ST on the Jammal fight and my rotation was only Frostfire with double icy veins. With arcane dps I find it kind of interesting to play, but why would i play that when it does like 40% less dmg, the talents for arcane are just bad and they need to change it up like how they are doing it with hunter.
Wow players are such a strange breed. Offering people more opportunities to raid is being translated into being "required" to do two lockouts a week. Why? Why wasn't this a problem for the first two phases of the game? People loved being able to run alts through multiple lockouts a week and the community was thriving. All of the sudden we hit 60 and people are complaining that they have jobs and no time? You can still raid once a week, folks. You don't, and never had to, do every available lockout. That's reserved for the sweaties.
I play mmo's classic wow in particular for longevity and the allure of an effective digital home where I can escape from reality aka my on going 20+ year crippling addiction that I wish to continue for as long as possible. Based off previous phases I've seen the SOD team cater to a casual audience making content piss easy which I like however due to its level of difficulty it is easy to complete making gear easy to acquire. Having a twice weekly lockout(+ heat lvl 3 bonus loot) simply means loot will be acquired incredibly fast, removing any motivation or carrots on a stick to be chased making playing the game pointless. The beauty of vanilla is the game is easy, acquiring loot is hard which makes it feel all the better when you receive it. These aren't new game features the basics and ingredients of success have already been implemented by our azerothian ancestors. The SOD team seems to not grasp these concepts based on everything they have implemented so far creating a lvl 60 retail experience. Going from lvl 40 - 50 in 2 hours, getting honor cap through stv marks acquired from the previous phase, making the ST loot hardly an upgrade, so you basically finish a whole phase in a few hours. As of now I look forward to enjoying SOD for 2-3 weeks then quitting.
The problem with SoD and runes, items, is that even wow classic 2005 wasn't balanced? what happens when you add additional things that are not tested? even more chaos! tested on a PTR? a few weeks? it takes several months of testing for runes, items to be reasonably good in wow. Hope that Season 2 of SoD lasts a longer beta for 3-4 months before it is released so everything is fully tested! otherwise, pve becomes very boring! get level 60 to fast, and gearing up to fast? what do after 1 month of playing?? the game will die fast! And heat level raids? that i was poor!! heat level should work in every dungons 5man!
Lame now people will be whining when it releases that there is nothing to do. Its a 20 man raid come on is zg going to be 20 man and also on week long reset.

every 3 or 4 days should be ok. not n times a week!
Twice a week is better. Dont like it, skip a lockout.

I think the community doesn't understand that if others gear faster they have less competition on gear as well. This wouldn't be necessarily bad for casual players as well. Just a different perspective. I will miss some lockouts but if I had one less person to compete on bre or onslaught girdle that wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion.

Booze will be avaiable on a bar everyday. Some people drink everyday, some people drink once a month. Thinking that WoW players are able to skip a lockout is the same that thinking that someone who drank for 15 years everyday suddenly will stop drinking everyday. They are just unable to do it without a massive life threatening crisis
