Fr can’t believe 2.2 is out before beat saber could add some customization

They said in their beat saber blog that they have been working on something new for a long time so that could mean that they are close to adding it to the game (hopefully)

What no one ever talked about was the sound that was made when the saber hit the note... would that be a new feature? Custom hitsounds?

I'd imagine the sounds would be built in , like phone ringtones, but without the ability to choose custom ones but i hope we do

You know what I am thinking about beat saber getting custom sabers is that what if they give you the sabers from the past updates as default cosmetics and to unlock more sabers you level up your rank by beating songs and completing challenges.

I hope there is still a option to switch back to normal sabers if they really look like the ones in the trailer cause the new ones just look kinda distracting

0:23 YOOO SMALLOWL W Also, I think what info we will know would be if PSVR2 would be crossplatform with PSVR and possibly the leaderboard system for PSVR1. I say this because of the major tracking difference between PSVR and what I heard about PSVR2, and how top PSVR players could have a disadvantage over PSVR2 players, since PSVR players have to fight over their own tracking as well.

I feel like this update is going to be so much more than just “new sabers.” Possibly a progression system with cosmetics? (But no paid season pass, it’s just included in the game.)

1 year later… Still waiting. Got the psvr2 though…

Hey I think this update will be a sort of adaptation too for all devices where Beat Saber is playable, I explain, so the main devices Beat Games and oculus Studios are focusing are PC, Quest 2, Quest Pro and soon PSVR2 so every device has his own adaptation like with graphics but i think there will be some little extras depending on what device you are. No one seems to talk about it but in the last meta Connect on 2022 where Quest Pro got announced they showed us a beat saber gameplay on mixed reality which is really cool but no one talked about it ! So I think this update will be like the new Beat Saber 2.0 that we will keep for long, for me a lot of things will be redesigned maybe the main menu environment or things like that. All that comment is supposition but i hope it will be that cool, come soon (maybe with the psvr2) and be the "much bigger project" they did announced in the description of the sabers teaser !

Also they gives us two remakes of old packs and for me it seems weird and we did not get any informations about OST 6 so I thinking that maybe they try to make little update until 1.30 so for me I think 1.30 would be the perfect time to release OST 6 and new sabers and psvr2 release. Also last year and the others years before we got the new OST’s in beginning of march and now we just got another remake so maybe that the big project is in cook and we’ll get to see it very soon (All this comment is supposition)

hey retr0 i have a theory about the saber update So Beat Saber is switching to OpenXR which means all of the models will be gone, but maybe they are gonna use OpenXR for the new saber update

Not all of the models in the game will be gone, all shaders on custom assets are broken. One person in the Beat Saber community made an app that can fix those shaders. Anyways I’m getting off track, point is that this’ll probably delay it more
