    Wholeheartedly agree, tho I feel like PME had his TikTok phase ( or is still in it? idc tbh) and is doing higher quality content recently with him filming his matches. I like those kinda videos cuz the guys are also BALLING, just like Marco and his boys do. Not saying that I dislike PME, everyone who wants to get attention to this wonderful sport is a good guy. I'm not sure if I actually already commented under a different video ( I think it was the first) or I just ended up deleting my words, but I guess what I like more about this channel and you specifically Marco, is your way of talking to yourself and your teammates. There is just no bad intention EVER, no spite, no rage or anything that you can feel. Just being friendly and helpful (or appreciative when others give tips) and happy that you can ball with nice people, it's such a rare mentality and also how I try to approach my practice and game sessions with my team as well. Sadly there will always be people who just don't know how to express themselves without being in rage and flaming others, which noticeably affects a few other people. I'm not really affected by it, if you're the type of guy to throw a few jokes and jabs to get someone to focus I'm all for it, I can take that and will also throw a few jabs when you lack in your play, but the younger ones just don't fly that way,. Really frustrating that I notice that the raging guys are literally hindering our younger guys (we have our youth players mixxed in the Mens Leagues so we basically have a few 15-19 year olds with bunch of 30 years like me) to develop so as a teammate I have to put in effort to help all these guys and that takes focus and energy away from actually playing. Completely went on a tangent here, but I guess I wanted to emphasize how great of a teammate all of you guys are, but especially you Marco. Keep up the work bro, every vid a hit, also you got HOPS MAN.🤯🤯🤯

    When did you start getting into volleyball and how? Also what's your number one biggest tip for trying to spike properly?

  • @LeonidasIV

    @LeonidasIV

    2 ай бұрын

    There's a ton of tips one can offer on spiking but if you're asking why this guy in particular is very good at spiking (for his style and compared to others), it's due to his vertical jump. Notice that the experienced volleyball player says this at 0:40. So if a player is like 5'11" and below, jumping really high is extremely important so that you can actually hit downward or over blocks, as opposed to hitting into the net or out of bounds or weak hits. I actually don't know the heights of the net or his height, but this theme is quite apparent even without knowing those numbers.

  • @overwatchgale4640

    @overwatchgale4640

    @@LeonidasIVthe best tip is to have an extendedly long armswing that you can speed up or slow down, giving you maximum control. This way you can almost always tool blocks, even if you can’t jump as high!

    I want to see you hit a few more times. I can’t say for sure, but I think your arm swing doesn’t match your athleticism. I’ll use Matt as an example, but his armswing works very well for his height and jump. You jump high, but your armswing is slow and doesn’t give you that natural and flexible power. I feel like you muscle through your swings, and don’t get me wrong, your swings are great, but because you muscle through your swings, you should try to use an armswing motion that complements your brute force and the whippiness of your arms. So I would suggest speeding up your arm and taking out the drag and delay. By drag and delay, I mean your arm goes all the way outside during your armswing motion. It goes away from your chest and drops low, resulting in a loss of power and and swing height. If you keep that arm in and sort of condense it so it still pulls back but doesn’t pull out, I think you’d crank the absolute crap out of the balls and you would be able to hit higher and harder angles. Let me know if I’m making sense, and if I’m not I’ll explain it another way.

  • @MKVB.2

    @MKVB.2

    Wooah dude thank you! Fr I never really noticed nor did I have someone critique my arm swing like that! I really appreciate this You do make sense! I get what you mean about drag and delay, and my arm coming out to the side. I’ve noticed it, but never really did anything to improve it Do you have any workouts to help with that?? Please let me know! I’m always looking for ways to improve

    @@MKVB.2Well the way I see it is you have two options: the first one is to evolve your existing armswing. The second is to try a new one. There are exercises to help you, but the very best way to adapt and implement it into your game is by trying to push it and evolve during the game. The pressure to succeed will force you to find something what works for you! For starters, I want you to try two different kinds during hitting lines and scrimmages to see what works for you. First, instead of letting your arm hang outside while you pull it back, bring it across and closer to your chest when you pull it back. Second, you can try a more circular armswing. Just make a small vertical circle with your hitting arm after you jump. The lefty on your team does this sometimes too. He’s got a circular armswing, and can speed it up or slow it down depending on the set height, timing, and if it is too outside or inside.

  • @overwatchgale4640

    @overwatchgale4640

    2 ай бұрын

    @@MKVB.2 Your shoulder mobility is quite fine haha. Since you can do what you are already doing, I would definitely say it’s well above average. However, your armswing makes you hit down and not through. This means you can and will get blocked a lot, because you hit down into the block when you should be hitting around or over the block and deep. I’d also recommend exploring a high elbow, fast armswing. It would be a very quick pullback and a very quick follow through, but because of your hang time, you can see the court more clearly and make a decision between the pullback and the follow through.

    you should adjust your step more before you spike. you always commit to one jump. when the ball couldnt reach you, you always try to force hit the cross and it result in a down spike. Fix the approaching jump then you are good. your jump is high your hand swing is strong + the good shoulder mobility. you can easily swing straight and cross no problem.

    I would say is to watch people who are better. You learn a lot from how they move, read, and understand the game. From there, just keep exposing yourself to higher level of comp. You will naturally adapt to it :)

    Biggest thing is to have fun with it. I enjoy every second I have playing volleyball. When you have the drive to get better and you also have fun with it, you excel so much faster, on all levels. I also recommend to watch high level volleyball. Break down how the player's move and try to mimic it when you are on the court
