all of them were happy endings. Arthur stopped lying to himself and took life in his hands. Ollie finally made peace with himself and was able to move on. Things should go better for them from now on.

All of them have happy ending. Arthur finally remembered what happened to his brothers and accept to move on. Maybe he continues to search for his brothers or elses but surely all of 3 finally got out of that accursed place

She's a survivor she's no angel, but she faced a long list of bad life choices which probably had no good choices and then the world went to hell. Sadly Arthur couldn't see that through the pain she caused him and he didn't know about the baby(as the no sex in years bit was another lie clearly). To be honest you can dream in another life they might have been happy together, but you can hope they find happiness out in the wider world, maybe they'll meet again in a better place and at least make peace. But this story is a dystopian hell don't hope for too much ;)

What? The baby is actally of the mad scientist who inveted Joy with whom Sally worked as a assistant and who was a major psychopath from whom both Sally and Gwen had to run. Arthur's father was sleeping with Sally some heavy years back in exchange for food and shelter, it would hardly be his. So you see: everything is actually alright!

Three characters escaped in unique ways Arthur: escaped from a secret passage(railroads) to cross the border only to meet the past constable that stopped you to go to the train Sally: escaped with her baby in a speedboat Ollie: escaped with a hot air balloon and finally learning the truth about the Joy and that changed everyone's minds into not taking Joy in Wellington wells

to me the endings always had a meaning and the story as well ending 1 Is realizing your mistakes and hope to set things right ending 2 Keeping the future safe for a better tomorrow and ending 3 Set things right by making the world see what under the rug

There are such good storylines in this

I love this game but it occurred to me after this that Gwen probably didn't survive long. Measles is usually fatal for an infant without medical treatment and that cod liver oil isn't actually going to do shit. Maybe there might be a doctor to help when she gets to the mainland but I'm going to guess it's just a different kind of clusterfuck over there if Wellington Wells has just been left like that undisturbed all this time.

If Sally has any brains at all, the first thing she will do upon getting to the mainland is get herself and her child checked out by a proper doctor. She almost certainly has injuries that are inadequately treated. Gwen also desperately needs her first doctor visit EVER. Given the survival situation they were both in they are almost certainly malnourished, 100% need to be checked for toxins, and Sally is going to need monitoring for long term physical and mental effects.

This would be easy mode on that kind of simulator. Wellington Wells doesn't have an airforce or navy. NK does, and if they catch you escaping they'll just blow you to little bitty pieces.

After finishing Arthur's playthrough, I really did not like his character all that much. A coward and a rat all at once. Before anyone says Arthur was only a child, he was smart enough to switch birthdates with his (likely ASD) brother to have him sent off instead and blamed Sally for being a victim, then recanted his offer and abandoned her. Arthur's a wuss and a rodent. And people dislike Sally for what substantial reason?????? *waits for one* Whenever she's caught between a rock and a hard place the only person ever hurt is herself and no one else!

That's the point though, Arthur, Sally, and Ollie are not upstanding Mary or Gary Sues, they're flawed and all have shady pasts. Just like you, just like me. We've all done bad stuff we would love to pop a joy to and forget.

In the end we all know Auther was a coward but he finally admitted his sins and choose to not forget it instead live with it I guess that’s one thing I truly love about this game

Agreed, I hated Arthur for abandoning Percy, i dont care what excuse you have leaving your family to die just isn't right. Sally on the other hand is a fantastic character, went through hell and back to protect her child.

the ending makes me feel wonderful without having to take joy pills :)

I was very frustrated that there wasn't an option to not be so bloody rude to Sally when I was playing as Arthur. Then escaping together would have been absolute gold.

The characters goals are similar to detroit become human's. Ollie as markus and Sally's as Kara. Not sure if arthur fits into anything

I’m glad none of the three protagonists endings were completely sad

This is heartwarming

just an idea but what if gwen get's her own story when she's like in her tween year's and she runs away from where ever her and sally now live?/and foggy jack should have a story too

One mistake they made with THIS ending... Sally and Auther should have gone together!

I love how a lot of people prefer this ending over the others because it's a happy one. Do you realize the irony? The cool thing about Arthur and Ollie's endings is that they come to terms with what they did in the past, despite doing awful, reprehensible things. Like the Constable said, it's a weight, but it's a gift nonetheless. It's better to feel regret than to forget everything. Happiness isn't just gleeful fun, it's about being comfortable with yourself, and the end credit scene with Arthur smiling while saying it's been a shit day perfectly encapsulates that. Given that Sally also has her own skeletons in the closet and things she has to account for, I think this is a terrible ending! Sally has so much potential as a character because of her past, like Arthur and Ollie do, and they just scratch it all off because "oh she has a baby". Like don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a mother trying her hardest to provide for her daughter and save her from a potentially shitty life, but it all just seems like a too convenient redeeming device in her plot. It's this I hate about the way people try to write "good" women characters. Cool that they're independent and all, but how about acknowledging they have depth? Acknowledging the shitty things she has done, and the stuff she has suffered? I don't think this is a bad ending per se, just badly delivered and could have had the same kind of emotional weight that Arthur's and Ollie's do. Yes, it's touching, but it's something we've seen in done in a similar fashion. Is it too much to ask that female characters don't get cop outs in stories? I much prefer a complicated, questionable but full of depth and complexity female character than the usual independent woman, or the mother who'd do anything. Not saying all these traits can't coincide and add to that complexity, but most writers stick to one and it gets tiring. I'm more upset with Sally's writers by then missing this potential. What a pity.
