We Had CUSTOM SHOES Made in Hoi An, Vietnam

We had custom shoes made in Hoi An, Vietnam and absolutely loved them. Hoi An is well known for their custom leather goods, and the prices are unbelievably reasonable. We initially had two pair each made for us, and loved them so much we went back after this video and had one more each made.

We are The Traveling Texans- Matt and Meghan, our kids Ryan and Heidi, and my cousin Christy! We live in New Braunfels, TX and are creating content sharing our adventures of living abroad for one year. We had a house fire in 2021 that destroyed everything we own, but did not destroy our home. What I mean by that is our home is where we are together, not our house.
This trip will afford us the time together we do not always get due to work, daycare, and hectic evenings and weekends. It will allow us to slow down and enjoy being together, being with our kids during these formative and fun years.
I am a realtor in New Braunfels and have my KZread Channel, Living in New Braunfels TX (bit.ly/3cVNBMV), which I will maintain and manage my team remotely. So it will not ALL be fun and games.

You can't take a taxi directly to it, but to the end of Cong Nu Ngoc Hoa and walk just a couple of minutes from there. As you approach the river on your right the shop will be on your left.

Hi! I'll be traveling to Hoi An end of March, can I find out from you how much the Wingtipped boot in particular cost? I'm intending to make covered leather shoes and boots so I'd assume the boots were the most expensive of the lot.

Nice! I honestly don’t remember, since we had several made at once. But I can tell you it was less than $100. A great price for custom shoes!

@@TheTravelingTexans I say that because back in the mid 90s I was living and working in Hong Kong and I had a custom pair of Black Lizard Skin Beatles Boots made and they put the zippers on the inside.. they were gorgeous and fit so perfectly.. I used to get so many compliments.. lasted about 25 years.. got a divorce and they mysteriously disappeared.. haha .. going to Hoi An later this year and see if I can replicate them..

Yes? But they look Blake stitched...hopefully they're not just cemented...but even if they are, a cobbler can definitely cement on a new sole
