Cook who practically started the genre are completely different. Obviously Alice Longyu Gao, Alice Gas and the other artists featured in the video are still great hyperpop artists and I am a big fan of them I just don't think that they should represent the entire genre

For you Yakko. Seeing words is really helpful to our brain to understand sounds. Seeing words and sound makes things really intelligible. If you took the high pitch out of a sentence, listened to it with the high pitch, then again without the high pitch (which would've been completely unintelligible) will often make sense after hearing the normal version once. Once your brain has read the actual lyrics and words, it can remember those and put together the sounds to create the lyrics properly in your mind so you can understand them.
