Tom is headed to event hosted by @OutMotorsports in May with a cheap car challenge; $1500 budget and a theme of Family Haulers. The challenge is a "trackcross" at Summit Point. He found this 5-cylinder, FWD 1993 Acura Vigor for $600 and brought it back to the shop. Now, with a little help from Andy (or a lot) he's got to get it running and maybe - MAYBE - have a bit of fun modifying it, too. Because we can't help ourselves.

Awesome. I have a 92. Always garaged. Runs and looks beautiful. Engine parts are a chore.
I have exactly the same car, same color, I have taken it apart and back together, it's my favorite car, inline 5 makes the best sound out there!

That engine setup is WEIRD and i had no idea that thing existed. Definitely needs a straight pipe for that proper rally feeling :P. Also, you guys check the cassette deck for any treasures? I'm suspecting this would have some James Taylor or similar in it xD

I drove one of these when I was 18 back in 1999 lol. It was a manual with some kind of exhaust n intake. Cool car.

Acura legend came with a 2.5 v6 and later in 91-95 was replaced by a 3.2 v6 longitudinally mounted engine. The 2.5 came in the vigor and 1st gen tl

This is a stretch, but the Vigor has the same shaped instrument cluster as the NSX, but the NSX fills the empty spaces with gauges. The Vigor equipped with the 5spd was a decent car back in the day. Had one in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. It handles very well and was actually a quick car..the gear ratios were long and that torquey 5 made it able to build good speed. Watch out for the distributor shaft to leak oil at the firewall. 😬
