So after I'd been playing violin for something like 5 years my teacher told me she was doing a string summer camp with her younger students and she needed more members. I agreed and I actually had more fun playing with the little kids than with kids my own age. It's cool to see other musicians who want to help teach and inspire beginners instead of just making fun of them like some of the kids in my middle school orchestra.

  • @childofathena_

Yeahh! I can sing pretty good, i'm in a choir, and every summer i go to this camping site with my family, and there we have a whole group of friends that is made of people older than me, like, from 24 to 31, and than the parents and grandparents of those guys, and then there's a family with little kids. One of them has a pretty voice, so i started helping her with singing, and it qas so much fun doing it! Also, i teached her and her sister how to skate, and it was really fun holding them to help them not fall, and seeing them becoming good.

It's actually like how I'd expect to be more fun exactly like that! People as same age ❌ Younger kids who'll end up making fun of me ❌ Younger kids who have the SAME interest as me ✔️ It'd be more fun and relaxing (Edit: I dunno how I got 'executive' instead of 'expect' )

Last couple of days I ended up making stupid navigation mistakes and was getting frustrated. Then next day my trainer did the same thing and he's been doing this job for five years plus. Genuinely made me feel better, not that he made a mistake, but just a good reminder that even more experienced people mess up too. I imagine this experience was great for those kids.
