We Found 42 ENORMOUS, Decaying American President Statues in Virginia!

We found these 42 decaying statues of presidents during our trip to Williamsburg, Virginia. This is one of the most secret, lesser-known locations in Virginia, and we'll tell you how you can see them for yourself in this video! #statuesofuspresidents #statuesofamericanpresidents #williamsburgva
It's hard to imagine these sculptures were once abandoned! You don't have to travel to Mount Rushmore to see these fantastic works of art. These sculptures are unreal!
We tried to identify all the U.S. presidents at the park, some we knew, some were a bit too decayed to identify, and some we just didn't recognize at all! See if you can guess them all
Update: We found out the presidents' heads are technically in Croaker, Va, but it's a short drive from Williamsburg.

Inspired by Mount Rushmore, sculptor David Adickes created 43 giant busts of U.S. presidents for the Williamsburg, Virginia "Presidents Park" which opened in 2004. After the park closed in 2010, the 15 to 20-foot, 18,000+ lb statues were moved to the private farm of Howard Hankins, where they have been decaying ever since. Photographer, and outstanding storyteller, John Plashal leads walking tours and photography clinics at the heads.
Adickes created similar sculptures in South Dakota and Houston which are also now closed to the public.
The holes on top of the heads were created intentionally because the only way Hankins could move the statues was by revealing the scaffolding on top of the heads and using a crane to lift them. Abraham Lincoln is the only President with a hole in the back of his head because he fell in the process of moving.
Since funding was halted, George W. Bush was the last full-sized sculpture created. As such, there is no sculpture for presidents Obama, Trump, or Biden.

Had no idea anything like this existed around here! Definitely a cool place to visit and check out. You guys did great with the guesses, I think Eric would rock at that game but I’m not as in the know with what they look like 😂

It's really cool. Tony heard about it like 5 years ago but didn't know where it was. Then a friend sent us a link at the end of the summer with info about it. We weren't very good either. This was us doing the easy ones and we still got a bunch wrong 😂. In out defense , it's a bit harder to tell who's who now.

Thanks for asking. You can check the description for a link. They're in Croaker, Va technically, but since they're on private property you can only access them with permission. The link shows you how to do that.

Yeah it's really cool. Not a lot of people know about it because it's on private property and they only do a select amount of tickets every year. Check the link in our description if you want to get tickets

This was such a cool idea. Sad to see how it fell apart. Would love to visit but knowing my luck I would visit the area and they wouldn't be doing an tours on those days. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah it really is sad because these are kinda cool to look at. Even while they fall apart. Check the link in the description. It will tell you when they are offering tours. They usually do a couple a year.

Super cool video guys! Been wanting to visit this for awhile. Haha, loved the guessing game. I thought like 3 of them were Ulysses S. Grant, not going to lie! Thanks for the heads up on the muddy terrain too, we would have found that out the hard way. Hope to visit this soon! :)

Thanks so much! It totally worth a trip to check out, and it's the only one left that you can see this close. The presidents David Adickes created in South Dakota and Houston are apparently closed off to the public.
