Parks I have traveled to right up to the gate and found closed: Galveston Pleasure Pier, OWA, and Worlds of Fun. Also, I traveled to Abu Dhabi and Formula Rossa was closed the whole week. 😐

Damn that sucks! My friend traveled to Playlands Castaway Cove and found it closed, even when the website said it was open. He also went to Great Adventure and Hershey; Skyrush, Fahrenheit, Great Bear, Storm Runner, Lightning Racer, WCR, Kingda Ka, El Toro, Medusa, Green Lantern, and Jersey Devil were all closed. He was also going to go to Dream mall but (only that weekend) Sandys and TMNT were both closed!

@@huntzzio Yeah, for me, those first three parks all had websites that said they were open, but two changed their schedule and one closed for rain. By contrast, the Ferrari World website supposedly did say Formula Rossa would be down for maintenance, but we never saw that.

OWA is a really fun park, and I actually really enjoyed Rollin Thunder, even know a lot of people hate on it.

I love the raw emotion y'all show on roller coasters

I agree about the quad down in the colder weather. I went in October and it was 60 degrees, it was still a lot of fun but it wasn't nearly as agressive as I was expecting. To me the highlight elements were the stall, outerbank, and the double up. It's my #7 out of 204 credits.

In the cold, AF1 loses a lot of speed on the turnaround separated by the two rolls. Still epic, but slower at the end.

I went to Fun Spot Atlanta on 12/29/23 and there were like 10 other people there who were all enthusiasts. Got to ride ArieForce One 4 times in a row which was unreal

Hey! SFoG local here. It’s always closed in January, February, and March. I’m surprised Fun Spot is still open, tbh. Honestly, you might be lucky that you didn’t get to Six Flags, lol. Whole back half of the park has been closed this winter, unfortunately. Only everything inside the train-loop and Gotham City have been open. I would assume it’s due to staffing. I mean, it was holiday season after all Also speaking of bad luck, my friend went to Great adventure, Hershey, Castaway Cove, and almost Dream Mall. TMNT and Sandys were closed for maintanence (only that weekend) so he didnt go there. Castaway cove said it was open, but it was closed. Hershey and Gadv were open, but Skyrush WCR fahrenheit great bear storm runner lightning racer comet kingda ka el toro jersey devil medusa green lantern were all closed. Only a few of those said on their website that they would be closed, and the flights/hotels were booked before Dream mall said the rides would be closed. Sad! But true

Yeah, Hershey never has much open after Halloween, only a couple of the big coasters. This year only Wildcat's Revenge and Candy (I see you said WCR was closed, but either that is a mistake or it was broken for a day). On the bright side, only a few days are busy. Most days the lines rarely get out of the station.

As a fromer theme park employee, I'll tell you this for free: NEVER in Europe. Not my corner of it, anyway. When the park is supposed to be open, it's going to be jolly well open unless there's literally a blizzard or a hurricane... and even then you'll get complimentary tickets for next time. We take pride in what we do, and there is such a thing as integrity. Six Flags should be ashamed. But then, of course, European parks are somewhat notorious for keeping their rides open through whatever weather, sometimes leaving people stuck on, say, the top hat of Ride to Happiness...

I get feeling disappointed about not riding Monster Mansion. I know this will be an unpopular opinion on a coaster enthusiast channel but I think it's the best and most unique ride in the park. I really wish other Six Flags parks had something as cool as Monster Mansion. I'm a huge dark ride fan and that was is surprisingly good for something in North America outside of Disney or Universal.

Y'all have bracelets that say "subscribe", guess I have to, lol. Also, cool video! If you guys were only there a few days later, y'all would've seen some snow! (im from Georgia, lol)

I took similar roller coaster trips during the month of December. Orlando for Islands of Adventure, Tampa for Busch Gardens, and Fun Spot just to ride ArieForce One for a few hours. I've mentioned a few times before how much I love ArieForce One -- my 3rd favorite coaster. The only RMC that I do like better than ArieForce is Iron Gwazi, and that's not by a wide margin. I do enjoy ArieForce One even more than I did in the past now that they toned down the quad down and the entrance into the brake run. I do appreciate no longer having to physically brace myself for the ride's finale after the first few rides of the day. That sucked that Six Flags closed due to SUPPOSED inclement weather. I hate when parks do that. Carowinds did it last year -- they closed the park at noon, two hours after it opened because it was raining. They claimed that the decision was based on the weather outlook for the day. BUT it stopped raining as the park was clearing out, and I believe it didn't start again for a few hours after that. I was suspicious as to what their actual motivation was for closing the park. It was a Saturday and the park was the deadest I've ever experienced it on a weekend day. Turns out that my suspicions were correct -- I was told by someone who had connections with park staff that they did close because the park was so dead on a Saturday and not because of the erratic inclement weather. Dollywood has pulled some stunts with inclement weather situations as well. Coincidentally, all three of these parks -- Six Flags of Georgia, Carowinds, and Dollywood are 3 of my four home parks. I'm lucky to have home parks with some really great coasters, but at the same time, I can easily get screwed by their handling of inclement weather situations.

Glad you enjoyed the best coaster in Atlanta. We rode it 20times in a day and did six flags the same day.

I have never been on a coaster as crazy as Airieforce in the Winter, but when I do, I'l for sure be wearing my Lions gear. Go Detroit Lions BTW

I got 9 laps on Arie in December and, even though it was cold it still ran pretty well. One time it was just me and another thoosie for 4 laps i think. Also learned dont ride coasters after the gym 😂

I feel your frustration with sfog, as it's my home park. They tend to close for the dumbest reasons

Great video! Hopefully this park can add some more good coasters or good family coasters to go with it. Georgia is one of the most populated states at 8th. It seems like it could be supported.

Over Georgia could use a Raptor or B&M Dive as one of their next coasters. The park has a really balanced lineup that makes you wanting more than they currently have.

Fun Spot Atlanta is a family owned park and sister to the two Fun Spots in Central Florida. The two in Central Florida did well and they were ready to expand and make a big investment. The problem was that their existing two parks have no room for expansion. So they bought a run down, pre-existing fun park in the Atlanta area and plopped an RMC down to put their name on the map. Now they can slowly redo and add to the rest of the park. They are playing the long game and I think it is smart.

Yes this park will be the 'Fun spot headquarters' the other two parks are landlocked with no room to expand and Atlanta park has acres of unused land.. this park is going to be awesome in a few years. Wait for it. 😊

Flew to magic mountain for x2. Got there and x2 was closed for staffting issues with maintenance. Was not listed ever online for ride closures.

You didn't miss anything. You probably ended up riding the better coaster in Georgia that anything at six flags. Six flags parks are nothing but clones of another one somewhere.
