The bits in Scorpion's revenge that were not about Scorpion were a bit too similar to the first MK movie, but other than that I agree with your sentiment, also replace Goro with either Kintaro, or Baraka, pick a character that no one cares about to replace Reptile so that Reptile and Goro can have some character depth and motivation added in and not be used as fodder for once ( I mean c'mon, Reptile and Goro probably have the most interesting backstories from MK & MKII and no one acknowledges them, they're always just tools for someone else to use, with no reasoning behind it, you're just left to assume they serve Shang Tsung and Shao Khan because they feel like being dicks in the movies) drop the whole "arcana" bullshit, just say these particular characters have abnormally strong souls or something and that let's them draw out their chi to perform fireballs and shit, and that's why they get selected for MK, because their strong souls make them extra tasty to a greedy Shang Tsung. You don't have to stick 1:1 with game lore, but it's still an important source to draw from. Another thing, don't introduce Mileena if you're not gonna bring in Kitana and Baraka at the same time, Kabal and Kano should have essentially swapped roles, Kano has always fought against earthrealm, Kabal is the one that has a tendency to flipflop.

When I saw the original Mortal Kombat movie playing in the background on that big screen TV, @@cracked, I was like, "Pfft! Fuck this asinine go nowhere interview! Let's blast some fucking Mortal Kombat, baby!!".

Ninjas were just ordinary farmers before they learned guerilla tactics to fight against samurai and be all stealthy and stuff. Because of their humble beginnings ALL of their ninja tools were repurposed farm tools. The kunai was originally a digging tool before it became the signature weapon/tool we know of today. So... yeah.

Even if the games suffer from “people talk to set up fight,” the reboot trilogy has been cool. MK9 and 11 specifically, do really interesting things with the lore, and the way they impact and facilitate the gameplay is pretty neat.

I used to run guns through there. The locals wouldn't shut up about it" which made me think that he was running guns, the locals wouldn't shut up about the temple, so he stopped running guns through it. It never seemed like he was just, you know, sort of near it

Despite Radin’s weirdness, and a couple other unexplained discrepancies, never before have I had a literal orgasmic feelings do to fight scene choreography. I was on the verge of tears as my brain uttered the phrase “holy fuck that’s badass,” repeatedly, coupled with intense shivers of excitement rippling though my being. I didn’t even experience that when I watched Godzilla versus Kong and I saw that shit in theaters. I think it might be because of the intense nostalgia I get from anything mortal combat related. Or maybe I find beauty in over the top violence. Probably both.

Even expecting the worst of people, I still don't understand why it's so difficult to make a good movie adapted from a (short) video game. The newest _Mortal Kombat_ movie seemed obviously doomed as soon as they added a needless original (DO NOT STEAL) character *and* had him be the main character. Everything I have heard or seen of it on top that, however, makes it seem even worse than _Mortal Kombat: Annihilation_ was in at least some respects since at least that (also) terrible movie was more faithful to the series overall even when there was far less to go on. I just don't get it.

The whole Raiden’s involvement kinda makes sense, cause he was just trying to protect the earthers from the baddies who were trying to cheat first by assassinating the humans before the tournament. So it could be argued that he was just trying to protect the integrity of the tournament. Not saying it’s a good movie... just saying that part could make sense of you think about it.

So alot of things make more sense if you put it into their lets call it system of power... So while our superheroes have powers from say a radioactive spider biting them their powers come from cultivation of different types of energies that will remodel the body however the process will generally require a large amount of conflict to take place before they can attain a high level of power, on top of their being a so called heavenly cultivators side and demonic cultivators side (yin and yang) .. So most likely Hanzo was a demonic cultivator of the fire path with a fair level of attainment then once he was killed his power would resonate with a dimension closest to his power,Hell, this would pull him over either fixing his body in the process or destroying it forcing him to make a new body. As for Raiden The rules are generally that higher power should not interfere directly this is because many times their direct powers can lead to unpredictable events happening or even the destruction of that reality.. normally when those types of powers want to do something it will take time to first set up a special diagram then get necessary materials once everything is in place they would then only use a microscopic amount of power to activate the mechanism they have in place (mechanism can even simply look like buildings or even wrighting) so the transportation and sheild should be fine but only if he has it set up using his followers in advance which as a "god" he technically could of had happen easily enough... Shang Tsung being obviously a demonic cultivator on top of a soul stealer would generally grow in power due to chaos brought by interfering making him less fearful of consequences Sorry this was so long lol 😅
