I'd absolutely love to see you two convert an old curiosity cabinet into a dolls house with all your tiny finds and crafting abilities - You could even have a hospital room for the spare parts and broken dolls waiting to be restored as homage to your family's doll hospital history... xxx

Kate's gorgeous little teardrop stone is outstanding! Such a beautiful piece. When I was a child my grandfather had a lovely watch chain, it was solid silver and occasionally I got to play with it - it moved in a very silky-smooth sinuous kind of way and I loved it. Happy memories just from the words "watch chain". Actual gold though! Such a sweet little button, too! Yayyyyyy! I do like your wonderful creation of the 'new' strong-man doll, he looks amazing! What a wonderful episode, so relaxing and hugely enjoyable as always,

Quick tip… don’t drop the acid to test for gold directly onto the item… get a tile so you can do a scratch test instead… you rub the item on the tile making a streak of the material on the tile then you put a drop of the acid on the streak… if the streak remains it is at least the carat the acid tests for … if the streak disappears then it is either a lower karat or not gold (or silver or whatever you are testing for).

I think the knife handles are Aluminum which would have been an expensive material in the Victorian era. Great finds on the day. Congrats!

@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers There is a small (9 inch) aluminum pyramid on the very top of the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. that was put there to cap the obelisk in 1884. Aluminum was used because at the time it was so valuable. Separating the metal from the ore was very expensive at the time.

Hope you are able to spend much more time at that beach . So full of wonderful Victorian Treasures . Enjoyed this Mudlark with you all . It was a special treat . Anne Minnick , Massachusetts , USA . Carpe Diem .

He was moulded with a loin cloth so his modesty is secured :) :)

The agate teardrop might be from a lovely drop earring ( one with a round cabochon at the top ) and a screw clasp ! Stunning find!! Can't imagine the stopper was sea foam glass before it was burnt - could it have been a rare milk glass stopper? Def a fab beach to return to , so many body parts ;) xo

Wow! Congrats on the Gold, Kate! I was enthralled with the variety of finds. Truly an Artist's beach. I would bring headlamps and stay late. Then a black light could be used, exposing even more. Good job on the repair of the tiny lion tamer, Fleur. Did the lion grab the missing boot and take off with it? I wonder .... : ) Would be Fun to find a tiny lion then fashion a boot of clay and somehow have the boot dangling from the mouth of the lion (by boot string?) Good for you on finding some ice cream money, Oscar! Yummy!

Great new beach, lots of potential there. That collar stud was one of those finds you will never forget, a bit like the gold dance, incredible, never to be forgotten Kate, brilliant. Loved the watch chain and T link, I love waist coats and wear a pocket watch and chain, such a tactile delightful thing to have about the person, just hoping someone will ask you for the time so I can whip it out. The watch that is. Your pendant drop was a stunner. Loved Fleur's craft, dear little chap, nice to see Milliput being as brilliant as always, thanks to you I use it all the time now although I always make to much and use the excess to make hooks in my workshop to hang things on. Should the strong man maybe have the Victorian sideburns and 'tach, and a little weight? Another cracking mudlark from the worlds favourite mudlarkers.

I did think about the side burns and tash but was worried I would paint them badly! I wear a lot of waistcoats too maybe I should fashion something with the chain with something other than a watch on the end (maybe a magnifying glass!!) :) :)

The bottoms of bullets would make wonderful flower pots for your dollhouse garden. The bullets remind me of the fancy brass pots they sell in the expensive stores.

Gold is nice ; ) but I prefer your agate looking teardrop because although my grandfather was a jeweller and made beautiful things ; I am allergic to it ; one of the reasons I turned to seaglass; shells; fossils and agates etc in the first place haha. Love the doll and Mudpies if you haven't seen it yet got a Judy . It has that eerie ancient feel to it . Anyways see ya on the next one.

wow! l loved watching the crafting & the video was so interesting. You guys are amazing. when my daughters were 6 and 8 they made a vets surgery .... we had 2 kittens at the time you can guess where they decided to sleep! Dolls house making is so wonderful

That collar stud is gorgeous!!! I found one almost identical and almost threw it away because I thought it was aluminium, but when I cleaned it it was far too decorative. It definitely looks like a spot to revisit, you found so many fantastic treasures! Great vid as always, good luck and happy hunting!

Well, Eureka! You found it! (Gold, like the California ‘49 ers. Ha!). Joy of the search . I have many things in the closet or storage worth $$$, but I’ll always remember where or when I found them. That eureka moment. (Eureka - greek for “a cry of joy or satisfaction when one finds or discovers something .) Glad you found your gold.

It's getting close to Halloween here in the states so my mind went to doing something with the headless guy with his arms crossed inside a coffin.

He has joined our headless club in the dollshouse! We do have plans for Halloween crafts which we are excited about :)

The knife looks like it is aluminum. It looks exactly like the drinking glasses my grandmother had. They were painted different colors but where it had worn off they looked just like the knife. Goodness I remember my grandmother having aluminum ice cube trays with dividers and you pulled a lever to move the dividers to break up the ice. Loved getting ice cold lemonade in those glasses. Summer is hot and humid in Northern Indiana where I grew up.
