Yes! This was when Marvel was establishing themselves with heroes who have "feet of clay" as Stan Lee said. Heroes that have real world problems like you or me. Spider-Man was the geeky teenage high school student long before geek was cool. Basically he was like any of us at that age. But suddenly ... superpowers! So the life of Spider-Man is suffering.

Regarding Tony, he knew Peter could help out against the other Avengers, but only because he knew they wouldn't kill him. It wasn't like Cap was going to kill Peter. And Tony DID tell him to just stay back and "web 'em up". Tony never intended for Peter to be doing the heavy lifting in that fight. He knows the Vulture isn't going to go easy on him. With The Greatest Showman coming out later that year, this was basically the beginner of her A-list actor journey.

This isn’t Michael Keaton’s first comic book superhero movie. He was also 1989 Batman. While we only had one fully costumed supervillain, this film featured a few other enemies of Spider-Man. Aside from the two Shockers, Phineas Mason is the Tinkerer and Mac Gargan is the Scorpion. Aaron’s nephew is Miles Morales. In the comics, he’s another incarnation of Spider-Man. Miles is also the lead character in the animated movie Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. I know it won top tier for a recent poll. So I’m excited for you guys to check it out. The sequel Across the Spider-Verse is in theaters now, but rumors are that it’ll arrive on digital next month.

I love how they didn't do the whole "Spider man orgin" on how he got his powers, The writers got the fact that we already knew since there's like 2 versions already. Also that the title "Homecoming" was not only because there's a homecoming dance, But it's because Spider-Man is back home with the MCU where he should be instead in the clutches of Sony. :) No there's won't be any kind of back story on Peter's family, I think that was just buildup from the "Amazing Spiderman" which went nowhere. Same with the build up of the "Sinister Six" with the start of the Rino, which sucked because I was looking forward to the Rino and what they do with him. Great reactions guys, can't wait to see the other MCU Reactions. :)

@@thedefinitionisthis You sure about that? Let's look at all the "Sony" Spider-man movies. Homecoming Trilogy (3 Movies), Into the Spider-verse, Across the Spider-Verse, Venom, Venom 2, Morbius, Raimi Trilogy (3 movies) and Webb's Duoligy (2 movies). The homecoming movies are overall good. critics and audience scores are high. Both Spider-verse movies have been major hits and are critically acclaimed. Venom 1 and 2, has a more mixed reception, but imdb and rotten tomatoes have it both still majority positive. IMDB actually has suprisingly 8/10 for Venom 1 Morbius speaks for itself. made a morbillion dollars. Raimi's SM1 and SM2 are both critically acclaimed. Spider-Man 3's reception is more mild, but I personally think it's also a good movie, but too crowded. TASM 1 had overall good reviews. TasM 2 was a bit more mixed, but still majority positive. 10 out of 13 movies had an overall good reception. And I will predict that the third Spider-Verse movie will also be good and it might be 11 out of 14. However, the new Kraven movie might make it a 11 out 15. But so far under Sony Spider-Man has done pretty well. I mostly based the reception on audience scores. So you were saying? edit: BONUS ROUND! Let's not forget that under Sony we got one of the most accurate and best Spider-Man adaptations ever. The Spectacular Spider-Man animated show. And Marvel's animated shows afterwards fail to live up to it. so 11 out 14 (released as of June, 2023) projects have been received mostly positive by critics and/or audiences.

The whole point of every other reactor NOT including the whole movie in their Patreon channels is because of copyright issues. I mean, just KZread puts a lot of hoops that reactors have to get through to be able to post and monetize their reaction videos. One second too long of a popular song playing in the video and it gets struck down, for example. "The Perfect Mix" would be playing the whole move "for free" while also getting paid by their Patreon subscribers. Unless they haven't been caught? Y’all are criminally underrating Spider-Man. He’s great and held at a pedestal not because he’s the strongest or smartest but because of his ideologies and relatability. He suffers much more than most heroes and has to deal with every day problems like us. He gives such a human response to all of his problems by saving all his villains. He’s different and better than most heroes like iron man or doctor strange because he does more than just look out for the universe. He is the man of the people who looks out for the little guy and has helped kids with homework and played with kids with cancer. He in touch with humanity and gives his all. He sees worth in everybody and never gives up. So no he is not overrated. Y’all just want to see big powered heroes but Peter has so much depth that y’all aren’t seeing. Plus you guys also are watching these movies back to back instead of the rest of us growing with these heroes and gaining life lessons applying them to our life from these movies as we grow with them. Comics and movies and shows and games. All helped us through our lives more than any other hero. Stan lee felt the same which is why Spider-Man was his favorite too. So y’all back off he ain’t overrated.

3:00 In the comics Peter Parker is 16 when he's bit but there's been a lot of different takes on things especially in the movies. Tobey Peter was bit at either 17 or 18 as it looks like he's a senior in those films with how close the graduation is. Andrew Peter was bit at also 17 or 18 as it once again looks like he's senior with how quickly he graduates in the franchise. Tom Peter is 15 when he's bit but 16 for homecoming, 17 for far from home and No Way Home (if we don't count the blip as them aging at all). Some movies venture even younger with the Spiderverse movies having Miles bitten at 14 and Gwen bitten at 13 (if you want to know why I know when Gwen was bit in the spiderverse movies i'll tell you.

Awesome reaction ! Spider-Man is and always be my favorite superhero, he’s so relatable and constantly makes mistakes and has to put his responsibilities over his desires & needs because it is the right thing to do. He is human being in every aspect, just like us. Plenty of great superheroes in both DC & Marvel but I’ve never related more than I did to Peter Parker.

Zendaya being MJ was meant to be a Twist Ending when this came out. We just knew her as Michelle until she called herself MJ at the end. That’s why she wasn’t so prominent in this one. It’s actually kind of similar to how MJ was introduced in the comics: for a while, we just knew her name, and Peter was not looking forward to meeting her until it was revealed she was attractive and charismatic.

In an episode of Community he dressed up in Peter Parker’s classic red and blue webs. Brian Michael Bendis - who was writing The New Avengers at the time took a cue, and created Miles Morales in Marvels Ultimate Spider-Man book. He said he did it so his adoptive children could have a superhero they could relate to.

Spider-Man and other superheroes that operate independently from the Avengers and SHIELD are safe. And the Accords got repealed sometime after Avengers Endgame, Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil in She-Hulk Attorney At Law confirmed this.

It probably does come off as weird that Spider-Man gets so much attention today. It mainly comes down to two things: his initial popularity in the books, and how ultra-successful the Raimi movies were. In the 60s there weren’t many younger characters who weren’t automatically sidekicks to older heroes. Spider-Man made waves because he was his own superhero, despite (initially) being a teen. Since he was young and living in a middle/lower class income home, he had very relatable problems. The book was also just really well-written, which made him Marvel’s most popular hero and essentially their mascot. For decades, every Marvel book had a Spidey head in the top left corner of the cover, regardless of the actual title. Then, in the 2000s, Raimi’s Spider-Man was one of the first superhero movies in decades to make a pile of money at the box office. X-Men did well, but Spidey sold STUPID amounts of tickets, off the charts. And ever since, Sony has really pushed hard to make that one of their big franchises, and why they likely won’t ever completely let him go to Disney.
