    It's worked well for us. I figure Central America is the prefect testing ground for a new bug spray.

    The California DMV had the same difficulty regarding chassis date and Arizona title date with our Coachmen Galleria (by Forest River). When the chassis is sold to an RV company the VIN is specified as an incomplete chassis so the chassis year is not the final production year. California DMV wanted Coachmen to give them a new VIN number, and Coachman said, "We don't do that". After a lot of hassle with supervisors and letters and emails from the RV Industry Association the DMV was dead set against letting us register in California. Then all of a sudden a DMV agent in the same office said, "The year discrepancy is totally normal for an RV. I can do that that registration!" and then under her breath basically said her coworkers were idiots. For RVs the chassis VIN year will almost never match the title year.

    Yea, it can be a confusing pain. But other than having to explain it a few times, it's not been a big deal. Glad you got it worked out.

    I only present my title if they specifically ask for it. I present the registration and point out the “placa” license plate number which isn’t recorded on my Florida title. I like how you show the actual steps without dramatizing the journey. Cheers from Cuenca Ecuador.

    Do you try not to use the shower and toilet in your Revel? Seems like it would be so much more convenient (and clean…). Is it too difficult to get water or dump the gray tank? Great series.

    We have never used the inside shower in our Revel. We use it as a closet and it's not easy to unload.We do often use the rear outside shower. But when we can find a real shower we will always chose that. This then allows our onboard water supply to last longer. Thanks for watching!

    The Chasis was made in 2019 and the winnebago outfit was in 2022...thus the discrepancy.

    Don't you mean Central America when talking about the ruins? And so many countries and different foods. Did you take twinrix or something else ahead of time?

    Do the Kayaks and whatever else is on top block your solar or do you drive enough for the alternator to handle charging. I don't see you staying in one place long enough to have to take stuff off to expose the panels to the sun.

  • @Famagogo

    @Famagogo

    Ай бұрын

    I love solar. BUT, I have removed all my panels. The Starlink took the space of my last panel. I also have the RoamRig 250Amp 2nd alternator. A 20 minute drive will give me more charge than a whole day in the sun with solar. If I had more roof space I'd love to birng back more pannels but for now I'm just out of space.

    I wish you would shown more of Belize… have you found any places you consider for semi-permanent expat status? Did you make that coconut shrimp?

  • @Famagogo

    @Famagogo

    We enjoyed Belize. But it's a small place, and we were only there for about a week. Also, it was unbearably hot. We were looking forward to the mountains of Guatemala to find better temperatures. As far as expat spots... Maybe Guatemala or El Salvador. I chase 70 degrees. Much of Central America is too hot and humid for me to consider for more than a visit. Norway could be a good place, though... I haven't been able to find coconut and shrimp simultaneously. I'll keep looking, as that was a great idea. The funny thing about Belize was there didn't seem to be any local fish. Many restaurants served non-local species or chicken/beef. I didn't see any shrimp there.

    @@Famagogo thank you for the detailed reply. I’ve really been enjoying your channel and going back to some earlier videos. I agree with you on the humid weather… and surprised to hear there isn’t much fresh seafood in Belize. Thanks for sharing your journey!
