A Tip : If you booked an Uber or a PickMe, don't wait for them near a normal tuk tuk stand. The reason why 2 Uber drivers drove past you because they didn't want to get in trouble by picking you up in front of other tuk tuk drivers. The reason, Since you mentioned there were already tuktuk drivers on the side of the road, I can only assume that if the uber driver had stop to pick you up, He would have gotten in trouble as most of the other drivers are rowdy and confrontational. They dont want to loose their "business" to uber drivers. Such an incident made it to the news, a couple of months back.

Must see Sigiriya Kingdom in the clouds. Hire a guide and learn about the history as its fascinating. Can recommend excellent resorts in the area near by too. Check out Kaveri Resort. Also must visit Kandy - visit the temple to see Budas tooth. Also check out the tea growing mountains around Nuwara Eliya. Stay at the Grand hotel Nuwara Eliya too - fantastic old school hotel, best food ever!!! Enjoy!

Hello guys! Your videos have helped me a lot when planning my travels! I’ve used some of your recommendations for the Philippines, Bali, and Vietnam. I spent 2 weeks in Sri Lanka last year, and I’m going back for 3 weeks this year. We absolutely love it there. If you have time and it’s not already on your list I highly recommend going to Tangalle for pristine beaches and hiking Adams Peak if you want a very spiritual experience! The issue with Uber in the south is they would not stop if you are at a location where the local regular road tuks are around. There is a tuk mafia in the south and if the locals see an uber picking up they will hunt these guys down. Most of the ubers are scared of them. You were staying at Indie Beach house. It is such an lovely place to stay.

Looks like you are having quite the adventure. If you are looking for ideas about other adventurous places with culture and wildlife look into Borneo. Do a river trip to see orangutans in the Indonesian part of Borneo. Go to Kuching in Malaysian part and visit the Dayak longhouses. Kuching has good museums, food, cultural history. Go to Flores from Bali and visit Komodo Island to see the Komodo dragons. I loved these places. Happy travels.

I think they've given us quite a few updates on Bear throughout all of this. Im not sure what anyone would need to feel relieved about? Hes living a better life than I am in BC

Here the freshest produce and meats are not usually at supermarkets. We get them from local butchers and weekend fairs. You should check them out as well. Meat and vegies don't get fresher than that.

During our 8 months long travel in Asia I missed family lot as well. We Whatsapp a lot and for them was exciting to also see the locations, even talk to locals via phone call 😊Its not the same as closeness but helps to go through. Its also always good to write about it. I did in style of song writing but journaling is always good. Also in Bali I learnt to do offering flowers send love and sing mantras (from Hindu in India & Bali f.e Ramadasa). Maybe that would give you Mandy also relief as for now you keep traveling. Lots of ❤🙏🧘‍♀️

The Ubers probably didn’t stop because you were standing next to a local Tuk Tuk stand. Sometimes the local Tuk Tuk drivers chase away the big company ones.

Mandy don't be sorry about the bike incident! Be grateful because it was the path to a new possibility of adventure to bring more experiences to your journey on this journey! I thought it was really cute, the two of them washing clothes and cooking! These simple things should never go unnoticed in a couple's life, as they strengthen the bond!🤩😇 Mandy! When another great choice you made, opt for a moisturizer from the region! I received a Carrot moisturizer from a lady in Matara, in addition to hydrating and gently perfuming, it was powerful for mosquito bite allergies with immediate effect!
