We Drove 600km to Test Windsurf Fins

The results: • The big WINDSURF FIN R...
@Nico_GER7 invited me to help him test 13 different carbon fins for his big Freerace & Slalom fin review. We drove all the way to Denmark to find what seemed like a perfect spot. It quickly turned out that is was quite shallow and had rocks on the ground. Certainly not ideal but we fought our way through it and had a lot of fun.
Thanks to Nico Prien for inviting me and thanks to Lars Wichman for the video footage! 🤙🏻

Haha, awesome to see two different 'views' of the same day. So cute that you kept slowing down so that Nico could catch up :)
Great and funny video. Thanks for so big effort to test all those fins, but sure better stay four hours in water than in the office😁
Nice video, also looked like helmet vs non helmet 😁 of slalom windsurfing
Great video x 2! Good to see different footage and the fails also! I wonder if you were tempted to switch also your equipment with Nico, so that you can compare your board and rig performance ...or maybe on another very interesting future test?

Yes for sure, sometimes we try different gear to see how other products perform. But that day we have had so much to do that we sticked to our own gear 🤙🏼

@@michelebeckerwindsurfing Yeah because i knew its gonna be a fire vide
Great video! Compliments. I hope you will collaborate together for other projects! I have a question for you. With the same board would you use a 36cm if you were lighter or do you think that for the 115l Patrik the 37 is the best length? Thank you!!!

In most cases the fin lengths is mainly decided by the sailsize that you are using. For me I like to go for 37cm when sails are around 7.7-8.0 and 36cm fin when sails are 6.8-7.0. To reduce the amount of sails I will have a 7.4 for next year and I don’t know yet which fin will be best. Probably decided by how strong the wind actually is
The Fin test was very interesting pity there were no G10 fins in the line up
