About my work - I remove beaver dams when I receive an order from a state organization.
I do not choose which dam to remove. It is decided by officials at the request of nearby residents. Each dam is assessed in advance if it can and if should be dismantled.
Removing the dam is not a threat to beavers. I do not remove their houses - lodges.
Dams are removed only in places where beavers cause damage, for example by flooding nearby fields, flooding the basements of nearby houses, or when the stream on which beavers built their dam is degraded.
Even though beavers are very invasive animals, they are under strict protection in our country.
I personally like all animals, so beavers are fine too.

This is a very labour consuming job thank you for your work I always enjoy watching your video your good work ethics cleaning up the bottom of the water bed. Even though it is only you will know there is still some branches or some debris left. Good job❤❤❤

Hello Mary Yes, the beavers did a very neat job in placing all those sticks I agree that the weeds have been growing like wildfire with all the rain and sun It’s raining again today, I am going to my Daughter’s home today for gardening, she keeps Friday afternoon free for us to garden together We’ll find jobs under shelter in between the rain I’ve been talked into opening my garden again next week for the gardening group as they didn’t have enough volunteers It takes a lot of work to prepare the garden and the house for viewing and I must admit I get a little stressed Does your daughter live near you as you mention you sometimes go out for breakfast together? Yes my daughter lives quite close and we spend every Friday together brunch or lunch 😊 it’s bright and sunny here today, really pleasant for a change. My hubby had a cough years ago and was crying that he was dying! 🤣🤣 I think I’m doing ok, the surgeon will tell me next week when SHE takes the staples out. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 I’m doing my exercises and letting hubby watch soccer(it really means napping in front of tv) without complaining, when I don’t need help. 🤭🤭 Have a good day/night. 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

If you leave all that debris just laying there that was once a beaver dam, the beaver will just put it back in a few days.

I was about to ask if that was why they dumped all that mud atop the sticks: was it to deter the beavers from reusing them by burying them?

Beavers dont reuse that material, I've seen and heard it through other videos,

The branches and mud that have been put aside will strengthen the edge of the stream in the future 🙂
