Telehandler's are very popular in Europe ,but a excavator is so much more practical for the kind of work

If I could choose, definitely I would choose excavator ;)

Nice of your friend to help you but I think you do a better job with your rake and shovel.

There was a lot of clay, it would be very hard to dig it away..

Telehandler did good job for the working conditions.timed it nicely with the incoming storm.good job for the working conditions.keep on doing your thing and taking care of the beavers.kudos to your friend.👍👍👍😎😎😎🦫🦫🦫

My thoughts exactly! I like how he systematically dismantles the dams stick by stick. I wait in anticipation for the little waterfalls to start😊

WOW -- that was scary. When the rear wheels lifted the first time I was sure it was going to slide into the water as I thought the bank was going to collapse. That is one neat piece of kit.

I agree when people say a telehandler isn't the best equipment to remove a beaver dam down inside a canal. BUT if the telehandler is the equipment the farmer owns, and the operator can get it done, it is still a good option. Not the best, but still an option.

That telehandler might not have been the exact piece of equipment to use for this job, but you run what you brung. He’ll probably use something else next time. Thank you Sir for the video

Did you use the telehandler because this was a spot where the beavers kept rebuilding? Or because of the build up of mud? Or both? ??? The telehandler is very similar to a piece of equipment the Roads Department uses in the rural area around Ottawa to clean out ditches. The biggest difference in the end of the 'telecopic arm' is the bucket is reversed so that it pulls any material towards the operator and then lifts it up. The "ditcher" uses less room on the side of the road than an excavator. Also, they are always wheeled vehicles, but they don't have wheels/tires anywhere as large as the telehandler used in your video. I liked to watch the machine at work, for I was a heavy equipment operator for the city here.

This is definitely the wrong machine for this,..need excavator with the swivel and bucket,..you could have done a much better job,..
