WE DIDN’T REALISE! What It’s Like To TRAVEL AUSTRALIA?Caravanning Australia-VANLIFE ADVENTURES (86)

We didn’t realise really what it’s like to TRAVEL AUSTRALIA until we started caravanning Australia on our VANLIFE ADVENTURES, then reality kicks in and you realise that AUSTRALIA IS BIGGER THAN YOU THINK. We continue our OVERLAND journey travelling across Australia from Broome to Brisbane, in this episode we continue that journey, travelling from the Queensland Border, travelling OUTBACK Queensland, through Camooweal, Winton, Longreach, Rockhampton and finally arriving in Brisbane. We travel in our 79 Series Landcruiser and Jayco Caravan stopping at FREE Camping areas offgrid, really showing what it’s like to stop in these outback towns.

    Gary is a carpenter and Denise is a relief teacher. We’ve been back at work for a few months (we got a bit behind on our socials) nearly completely 6 months work, only 3 weeks left then we’re going off again for 5 to 6 months. After that we will work for 3months then go off for another 3months, then we we see how we go 😊👍

    We always check on the map where the next town is and work it out if we need to fill up there or the next town, (we just fill up with town water) depending on how far we are travelling. Wiki camps app also shows where you can fill up 👍😊

    Now you know why the sheep-stealing swag-man camped by the billabong under the Coolabah Tree.... with sounds like that and lamb roast campfire... there were no flies on him! Don't forget if you take away Alaska, Australia is larger than the mainland USA. Pommyland can fit into Victoria a couple of times. So you can brag like heaps to them all back home.😊

    Yes, it certainly is a massive place that’s for sure. Did someone steal a sheep?

  • @nivek944

    @nivek944

    Yes! Just sing Waltzing Matilda. The Jolly Jumbuck he had in his tucker bag was the stolen sheep from the Squatters flock. The swagman committed suicide rather than being arrested by jumping into the billabong. Up at Winton was a place claimed as the place 'Banjo' Patterson wrote that song. @@turtletrackstravels
