The crew have noble intentions, helping the unfortunate, but they didn’t have to travel across the world to do that. There were poor, sick, and starving people in their own cities, probably not even an hour away. The fact that they chose to go to the most dangerous and remote area in the middle of a civil war, speaks more to their egos than their nobility.

After visiting Singapore, that was my first exposure to ‘developing SE Asia’, with armed soldiers, paramilitary and police on the streets, and rolling roadblocks for the passage of armed convoys accompanying the tinted window Mercedes carrying military Generals and visiting VIP’s, with the local copies of the H&K G3’s, HK-33’s and Uzi’s, with a lot of old M16A1’s, M1 carbines, and even old Italian TZ-45 SMG’s (and in my 2006 & 2009 trips, local copies of the AK-47, w/ grenade launcher attached at a bridge military checkpoint across Pazoon Daung Creek in East Yangon). Despite the repression and the plainclothes military intelligence officers on the street, I loved the vibe of the place (similar to Siem Reap, Cambodia which I visited in 2009) and the generosity of the Burmese people, especially up in the rural areas around the temple ruins of Bagan and Inle Lake in eastern Shan State. Yes, this movie's violent, then again so is reality. This world isn't all sunshines and Rambos.
😊 I love how John shuts down after weighing them up with a glance. He even gives the pirate a final look before deleting him.

Just saying… Stallone should of stopped at this Rambo. It was literally a masterpiece.

The one glaring hole in this movie is how it just seemed to cut to the group of mercenaries being captured like that. I know the one guy was injured and the Burmese troops were catching up to them, but for the old veteran SAS guy and the rest of them to not go down in a firefight just didn't seem to fit.

@@Sporkmaker5150 Maybe the movie was trying to paint those guys in particular as complacent due to always fighting with a huge tactical advantage, Where as Rambo is used to all the Odds being stacked against him in contrast.

I will still die on the hill that a prime Rambo would merc a prime John Wick. Rambo’s field craft skills & ingenuity are 2nd to none.
Respect to Pirate dialogue delivery and performance
This one is the most brutal of them all.
I love how rambo is so easily influenced by a woman. No man could have made him take them on that journey, but he did it for her and he was willing to kill for her even though it wasn't a romantic relationship he had with her. It's like he's preprogrammed to protect women.

In Last Blood Rambo says to Gabriella that he almost lost his faith in humanity and that he was a very lost man. He went off to join the military at the age of 17 and all he ever knew after was just the brutality of war. Even after coming back he was hunted and he saw how black a man's heart can be. Maybe all these atrocities are unleashed by men and he hated that. Women and children are always pure and he could see the innocence and pure intention in her eyes. There's a difference in the approach between Sarah and Michael to Rambo. She considers him and treats him well which is all he ever wanted. At the end of the movie I saw the way he looked at Sarah hugging Michael and I don't think he was in love with her but rather it reminded him that there's no one to care for him like that. He never knew what love is...never had a family of his own. That's what he may have realised that time. And he went home at the end of the movie hoping for a peaceful life. We can see how happy is Rambo when Gabriella came to his life. All he ever wanted was someone to love him, someone to wait for him back home, someone to live for. But fate was cruel and I hate how he ended up alone again. He deserved better.
This movie is so under-appreciated

The Best of. All the rambo movies.
Fun Fact - the guys who play the pirates were actually the music band entertainers that played at the movie production base camp. I don't know the back story as to why, but Stallone and the producers put them into the movie as 'bad guys'. Not actors, these were just local musicians. BWAHAHAHA.
This movie is badass!!!
The first Rambo and the second Rambo and the fourth and fifth Rambo are my favorite movies of all time
Still to this day The best movie ever made in my opinion
