We Clipped the F3 but the Galaxy is Still Here

While recording into Audacity, Drew managed to clip the audio while using the F3, which theoretically would end reality as we know it. A quick look around revealed that we are all still here, so he was a bit baffled as to what went wrong. The answer was not in the F3 or even Audacity, but another piece of hardware we sometimes take for granted.

Solid advise. Always great to be reminded. I user errored myself into a hole this week. I was out of practice with the equipment. And, out of step with their limitations.

My favorite lesson in troubleshooting was the video I completely rerecorded because the sound was only playing back in one channel. Turns out I had not fully turned the cable for my ATH-M50X headphones and was only *hearing* one channel even though both had recorded. Three hours of recording, editing, and troubleshooting I will never get back but a lesson well and fully learned.

Great tip! There are many KZread creators I can think of who simply do not understand how their equipment works or their limitations

I usually figure it out be messing it up! I just finished a video where I screwed up the sound, but remembered a feature of the Rode Wireless GO that saved my bacon. Future video on that topic coming!

As far as I know, the Zoom F3 recorder (as well as other 32bit float recorders) does not support 32bit float in interface mode - it's only 24bit audio.
