All puppet fleeces developed recently within the past 8 years or so, designed to hide seams with their fuzz. 2, Tiana's mouth and cheek movements are boggling my mind, they're the smoothest and most natural I've seen in an animatronic. I know it's too much to hope for disney to show her facial rig and how they're casting her skin, but god I want to know how they did it!!

Thank you for putting Walt at the beginning of this. It reminds me of the Wonderful World of Color programs he would do. Grateful for this tiny ray of hope that Disney is starting to turn back to the company we know and love.

What a great behind the scenes look. I love the parks and seeing the completed version of things. But a look at this imagineering video gives me a whole new outlook and appreciation for the work that's put into making things to entertaine the guest.

Louis is my favorite Disney character. He just wants to play with the big boys… 😔😔😔 I can’t wait to see him in person, I’m so exited for this ride!!! The mechanisms look brilliant.

This was incredible! Better than anything I have seen come out of Disney in decades. The behind the scenes videos done years ago was incredible. More of this is what the true Disney nerds want to see!

Its just jawdropping to see the lifelike movement of the figures, its THE aspect that motivates me to educate myself about electronics and maybe, with emphasis on maybe, work with it someday in the way the Imagineers work with it.

It always baffles me when a Disney produced piece presents false information. Walt did not purchase the bird in the cage in New Orleans. Here is an excerpt from the book Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas about the “animatronic” inspiration: “He was fascinated with small objects, and he collected them during his travels to Europe. When Lilly, Diane and Sharon returned from a shopping tour of Paris, they found Walt on the floor of their hotel suite, surrounded by small animated animals. He was particularly impressed with a caged bird which moved its tail and beak and issued an intermittent song. He brought the bird to the studio and instructed one of his technicians, Wathel Rogers: “Take this apart and find out how it works.” Rogers performed an autopsy on the bird and discovered that it was operated by clockworks and a double bellows.”

Thank you so much! Wow what master pieces, I cannot wait to see all this in person!! The splash retheme has been getting a lot of hate from “fans”, and I have always felt it was very undeserved, and after watching this episode, I am confident many will eat their words very quickly! I look forward to what is in store in the next episodes, and what is to be revealed at D23 in August. Thank you for all that you do, and for creating the magic I cherish so much, and the memories I have yet to make.

I was initially sad about the Splash retheme, it also had to do with the fact I didn’t trust Disney to do it right, mainly because Chapek was still in charge. Then they started releasing more and more information, and I started to really look forward to the retheme. It seems everything they reveal just makes the ride look better and better, and I’m excited to ride it, even though I still miss Splash Mountain.
