We Built the World's Fastest Mini Bike! (109 MPH Full Send)

After over a year of planning and failed attempts, we have the world's fastest mini bike! We reached over 100MPH on this modified Mega Moto 80/105 mini bike, beating the previous record of 107MPH by a few miles per hour. We've been developing this chassis for 6 months now, and we're happy that it finally paid off! Of course, we're still headed to Bonneville with the original land speed mini bike this August.

This has always been one of the most unprofessional channels on KZread. It's like they're stuck being 12 years old. I guess it works, but they could use some adult guidance. The entire premise is that of a child - so much that they had to hire a guy to turn wrenches. It is what it is. the heyday is over and I think they are fully aware. Time to transition to something different now. Played out. Jumped the shark. Same thing every single video. The YT algorithm promoted their first video, and ever since they thought they did it themselves. All their eggs are in one basket now. Gonna be a fast decline.

Something about this video made me think about those old videos too; The buyer's guide to old race karts, rat rod kart, and the black widow. This channel inspired me to buy my own go-kart and taught me a ton about small engines. I hope that more kids do the same. It's so much more approachable than learning on cars, if something breaks, you can push it home, or load it into your buddy's pickup, or even use a wheelbarrow.

Congratulations guys ! Once you crack that 100 mph mark you've entered a special club on a motorcycle . I know there are people saying " I've gone such and such on a 1000cc bike ) . But they are missing the point . You did it on an engine and bike that was never meant to go that fast ! I remember the time I cracked 150 mph on my Honda VFR the bike seemed to float and be running perfect . It's a feeling you can't really describe . Of course guys who live for the sound of the engine are a different bread anyway Go kart ...Mini Bike ... Motorcycle or some two wheeled creation at Bonneville . It's a memory that will keep you smiling into your old age . Happy trails guys . PK

To help with the tach signal you might try a twisted pair wire configuration. There are 2 variants, unshielded and shielded. The easiest place to look are network cables cat6 and cat6a. Congrats on the record.

Maybe you guys already know this but it was not clear in your video comments. Land Speed vehicles are not competing based upon advertised HP levels with a certain engine block design. You’re classified by type of vehicle, engine type, displacement and fuel. Then Blown or naturally aspirated. For bikes it’s typically gonna be an engine size in cc’s. So regardless what street racers are doing or what Internet forums say it would be interesting to hear how your bikes compare to some actual sanctioning body rules. SCTA and ECTA for start and maybe others as well.

GPS with a good signal should be accurate to 0.115mph (0.1 knot) and will refresh at 1 second intervals so you should be pretty good to rely on those numbers, especially as you are travelling on flat (GPS generally has issues with elevation changes). nicely done.

Thing is awesome! Congratulations. I’d be scared to try those speeds on a mini bike, heck my 60mph doodlebug scared me for awhile.

    1. The smallest guy should drive the bike! It’s just science, better HP to weight ratio 2. Optimize Engine rpm, tire size, drive ratio.. it’s math 3. The headlight could use a more extended conical lens cover and the windscreen may extend further ( enabled with the smaller driver). It’s aero.

Sorry, but the gsx-r 600 wheels disqualify it from being considered minibike. They went 100+ mph on a full size bike, good job...
