We Built the Meanest Yamaha Ténéré 700 Ever - Accessory & Auxiliary Lighting Overview

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

It should be no surprise that the Yamaha Ténéré 700 is one of our favorite bikes to hoon around on. We like it so much that we have developed a full suite of plug-and-play wiring harnesses to make adding DENALI driving lights and conspicuity lighting super easy. Are you unsure of what lighting and accessories you need for your Ténéré 700? Look no further!
Click here to see everything we have developed for the Yamaha Ténéré 700:
denalielectronics.com/blogs/o...
On the Barkbuster handguards we installed the DENALI T3 Switchback Signal Pods with the included flush-mount hardware. The T3 is a unique and innovative approach to the common turn signal, blending white visibility lighting and amber turn signal lighting into one modular system.

The primary set of auxiliary lights on the T700 is a pair of DENALI D3 driving lights equipped with the TriOptic Hybrid lens and mounted to the crash bar with our 21-29mm articulating crash bar mount. The D3 driving light is the highest performing 36-watt street-legal driving light to hit the market. The D3 driving lights produce a beam of light 1050 feet long and 225 feet wide!

For increased conspicuity we have installed a pair of DENALI D2s with amber lenses near the skid plate using the same 21-29mm articulating crash bar mount as the D3s. The lower mounting position and amber lens of the D2 make it the perfect way to stand out in traffic!

To keep the rider's cell phone charged and front and center on the dash, we have installed the DENALI Rally Phone Mount. The secure bar clamp keeps the mount in place on rough terrain and the wireless charging keeps your bars clear of clutter.

For increased conspicuity on the rear of the T700, we have installed a set of DENALI T3 Switchback Signal Pods flush mounted under the rear seat. The rear T3s operate identically to the front set but the running light circuit is red with a bright brake function and they flash amber on signal.

The brains controlling the lights on the Ténéré 700 is the DENALI DialDim Controller. This vehicle-specific harness simply plugs in-line at the T700's headlight, horn, and turn signal connectors to enable dozens of useful lighting features and settings! Our patent-pending multicolor halo dimmer switch can do a whole lot more than just turn your lights on and off and dim them. For starters, it displays the exact intensity of both of your lights so you're never stuck guessing if your lights are on, or what intensity they're set to.

    Nice Lighting Arrangement.... I Like the turn signal set up........ Question... IS there a lighting option that allows your lights to flash continually with maybe a custom Flash sequence??? Also , Given there seems to be a problem with iPhone Cameras and Vibration is your Phone cradle dampened to prevent such Damage to these cameras??? Great presentation.

  • @DENALIElectronics

    @DENALIElectronics

    The patented design utilizes a rubber ball and socket that greatly reduces the amount vibration that can be transmitted into electronics. RAM® Mounts are not guaranteed to alleviate known vibration issues with Apple iPhone cameras. Exposure to vibrations, like those generated by high-powered motorcycle engines, might impact iPhone cameras. Although anecdotal, we have not received any reports of camera damage from this mount.

    Hi Nate, A quick question about Denali lights, On my 2016 BMW GSA I am running a set up that consists of 2 x D4’s, 4x DM’s & a B6 rear light, Obviously a bit of wiring to install & run through the bike, My question is would it not be possible to make the cables plug into the lights rather than a sealed unit, that way if we have any problems with the actual light unit itself we would not have to remove the Bodywork & Gas tank to swap out one failed or broken light……Regards Marc

  • @DENALIElectronics

    @DENALIElectronics

    Жыл бұрын

    The CANsmart controller comes with two sets of 5.5-foot light extensions that do exactly what you suggest. The extensions run from the CS to the light location, behind your plastics or under your tank, and the light has an 18" led that plugs in to the extension. This way if you ever want to change it up, it's simple and you don't have to tear apart the bike.

    Can you folks speak to how you wired the rear turn signals? The t3 pods seem to splice into an existing rear signals light, but if you remove the existing light is there a harness you sell to allow the t3 pods to connect without splicing?

  • @DENALIElectronics

    @DENALIElectronics

    As of now, we do not have a plug and play harness for T3s on a Tenere 700. The signals are simply tapped into the rear turn signal using posi-taps.

    This bike was built as a commuter and beach cruiser to get to and from work and to get to the beach for an early morning surf session. Not a lot of drops from the owner on the way to the shop and dropping on sand typically doesn't hurt lights. If you were taking this bike on hardcore off-road adventures, you would want to bring the lights a little closer to the body.

    That license plate "mod" looks ridiculous, and will cut your leg wide open if it so happens that you crash and parts of your body end up back there, which happens from time to time. Phone mounts, etc, a far cry from a modified motorcycle. It looks loaded up with brackets and stands and crash bars, and actually looks a little dangerous in a crash, as bikes do hit riders from time to time, other than that, it looks pretty fancy, nice bike, but not sure what type of bike it has become. A night rider?, that you can crash and hit things with.....just not sure anymore.

    Appreciate your feedback! This is a mostly sport-touring bike that we used to test and show off our products and take to trade shows. It has seen mostly city riding and adventures to surf at the beach. The protection parts protect vital components in the event of a spill. If adding crash bars, skid plates, and centerstands makes a bike less capable, I guess we like less capable bikes 🤷‍♂️
