@@willsmith2041 Despite the 'WE BROKE UP' title, it's not until half way through that the 'boat story' switches to the 'living the dream story' with which the beautiful Martina was an inextricable part. The boat story attracts the would be sailors on a DIY budget ( My personal interest). For those dreamers out there, I myself have been in a 7 year ' living the dream ' story with a beautiful Filipina many decades younger than myself. Relationships in reality are written in blood ties, you have a relationship with your offspring and parents, what you may experience with others are quid pro quo 'companionships' and these are at the mercy of fickle nature - fair winds and foul. In time, mother nature changes our 'quid pro quo' perceptions and companions go their own way. Had the boat story not been punctuated with major holdups that necessitated working for a living to finance repairs, thus pushing the ' living the dream story ' into the doldrums, the companionship might have survived. The lesson for would be sailors, is BUYER BEWARE - get a survey done before you put an albatross around your neck.

Sad to hear about the breakup. I thought you two were a good couple from the start. It is good seeing you back in Panama and looking forward to seeing the work go forward on Parlay. McFly's reaction to your homecoming was everything I expected. Dogs don't forget family and they cannot hide their emotions.

I think his philosophy on living in the present may be a detriment to any future relationships because women are always planning and looking for the security of a relationship to fall back on when plans don't turn out. Living in the moment isn't very conducive to future security. But, wth do I know? It is more fun to live in the present for sure.

Everything happens for a reason, and this work needed to be done before you were 1000 miles from land and things got really ugly or a really bad storm! I know a breakup can be hard, but remember that if you don't try you will never know if someone is the right person for you! When one door closes a new one opens up! Also, what a hard timeframe to meet someone when everything is in lockdown and your boat came apart and lightning hit your electrical. That relationship had more stress than any normal relationship! The right person will come along for you.

I read that book, and it made a huge difference in the way I handled stressful situations, and my life in general. I, too firmly believe that all things happen for a reason. Panama is a beautiful country, and I hope to visit there again someday.

At :30 memories of Miami returned. Always wait 3 seconds after green to go or guaranteed t-bone. Caught you first on Below Deck, didn't realize the magnitude of your endeavor until I found your channel here. I've had 30 years airline tech, with 8+ years fiberglass/composite work and I can't imagine doing the repairs you did on the water before even getting the boat dry. Fair winds and smooth seas to ya and we'll stay with you on your voyage.
