Matt’s channel is great also but I don’t think I would ever buy one of his cars as he says he’s not a mechanic so that’s where I worry about the longevity of his repairs etc but great guy and great channel but rob and Chris been in the business longtime so I feel there repairs are more quality assured

I really hope you get this one done boys. That's going to be an amazing car for someone once that's done. I'm even waiting for the next one in this series. I have a feeling that bracket on the subframe is so you can drop the subframe whilst leaving the engine (suspended) in the car. Could be a common problem on these, maybe check with BMW ?? I've watched you from the start, you're putting some brilliant work out with the equipment you're using. It's to be appluaded, because I'm sure everyone appreciates the hard work you're doing. @chris, that strut has definitely been a strut too long...

That battery might not be knackered Rob, it might have just shut down. When they get to a low voltage they go into self protection shutdown. If you put it on a charger it should wake up again and charge.

That is a beautiful car I understand it’s mad for part pricing but it is an amazing car & very rare to find I’m looking forward to seeing this one being done & finished. Well done as always lads 👍🏻👍🏻

If you strip or disconnect the water/coolant system you will need special tool if you don't have it already to vacuum fill the system, nice motor keep up the good work

WOW!!!!!!! Rob, you've got a job on your hands finding the parts cheap enough. Think Chris has got this one easier run with the body work. This is going to be interesting.

Cant wait to see the next video. Looking forward to seeing how Chris takes on that rear quarter panel. My daughter has similar damage in her 17 plate Corsa and every "dent specialist" has said - 'not repairable '! Best video in ages guys - shame it doesn't need a wash Rob...........

The engine won't let you rev it until it's up to temp. I only know this as my friend has an M4 but it's not the competition model. His M4 is a missile, so yours will be even faster. Beware, these cars are savage and gear changes happen in milliseconds, so before you know it your at 150MPH. Honestly, they are wicked fast and often bight back. It will also need the correct battery as it will throw up loads of codes that won't clear. You may also have to have the crash data removed, as the car will go into limp mode. You'll also be amazed at the complexity of the brake system and the suspension setup! Looking forward to the BMW M4 video's! Also, update your scan tool or use a Carly to scan it! Thumbs up Guys!

It's a good job Chris is there being sensible because Rob is like a 5year old at Christmas 14:29 but wow what a car a proper nice piece of kit really looking forward to this series

Brookland grey is a lovely colour. Standard metallic colour. One of my favourite BMW's the M4 comp. Can't wait to see this one finished Rob. If you don't keep it for yourself, don't sell it cheap!

Hi Rob and Chris just so you know I'm pretty sure these cars need vacuum filling when replacing the coolant 👍

Good knowledgeable parts staff are a god send, Drew certainly knew his product. When I'm hunting for parts I always try the main dealer first before going down the ebay/second hand route

I am excited to watch this being rebuilt as a M// car owner myself. Loads of expensive parts needed and don't forget a new front number plate 😊

That looks to be a great project. Might have to look overseas for some parts? I hope the BMW parts guy's boss sees this because he came across as really good/on the ball.

The chap on BMW parts was so nice, good on him. Had same experience when fixing my 5 series, damage to same corner and loads of parts were cheaper from dealer. Lovely car that, hope it brings a decent profit for you and Chris.

Well gents, you've gone and done it now!! This one is going to be a challenge, and expensive to repair, but, what a car it will be when you're done. It's so interesting that big gambles like this have the potential to bite you, but when they do come together, it must be so satisfying to see what you've accomplished, and how much money you can put in the register when it's all said and done. I am so looking forward to the next video and seeing this one being repaired and put back together. By the way, Rob, you shouldn't do what you did at the beginning to Chris. I sold a 19 reg M4 comp in white with all carbon bits, carbon roof mirrors, splitter and diffuser, comp wheels with only 9k on the clock at Christmas. The most bonkers piece of kit I’ve ever owned. Is a little bit ready to slide on a less than sunny day. Do kind of miss it. They don’t sound all that though. For a quad exhaust its pretty quite. Got to say the F-type dynamic V6 I swapped it for is a much nicer thing and sounds so much better and although a good second slower is much easier to daily.
