We Bought a Homestead! // From RV Life to Farm Life: Our New Big Adventure!
We've decided that it's time to settle down and plant some roots - literally and figuratively. So we bought a 12 acre farm in Georgia! We have been very interested in homesteading, regenerative agriculture, and living a healthy lifestyle. Getting away from processed foods, and eating whole, real foods. What better way to do that, than to grow most of our own food, including fruits, veggies, and eventually animals!!!
Follow along with our successes and our failures as we navigate this brand new lifestyle. We've only ever lived in neighborhoods (or in our RV), and have never owned more than a couple cats and/or dogs, so this should be entertaining, to say the least! Especially if our first week is any indication!
We hope you'll stick around as we transition from RVing to homesteading.

Congratulations on your farm purchase!! I purchased 12.5 acres of raw land near a lake about 10 years ago in NE Georgia. I finally relocated from Atlanta about 7 years ago. I looked at putting a log home on it, but decided to drop a 3 br 2 ba mobile home on the land and started homesteading in earnest 3 years ago. It's definitely a adventure. I also got a Branson 2515h tractor too! I got chickens and a garden but looking at raising sheep soon. It definitely cost money to put in a well, clear trees, level land and put up out buildings. Yes, I’m sure we are. Thankfully only one EF1 tornado has touched down anywhere near our property, and that one was still a couple miles away. The mountains seem to break up really bad weather before it gets to us.

I know!! And the floor was so gross too! I don’t even want to think about them walking around without shoes on! Our shoes got SO dirty!
