Just watched your video and subscibed also. You said we bought a bus!! And... So did we!!! May 3rd. I got a 2005 ic ce300 international DT466 hydraulic brakes, automatic transmission. It runs well. I cant believe we bought a bus 😳.. I wanted to go with a single axle truck and 53' trailer, but its concidered commercial vehicle in pennsylvania. So a bus it is. I must be crazy? Tell me im not.🤔 Have fun guys

I have a 41 ‘ Thomas 8.3 Cummins and Allison with 24” roof lift and 2# 9.5 foot slide outs ! Huge job ! However worth it !

The bus looks in great condition! Have fun converting it guys!

I just seen your video, I lmao!!! So, just to give you the heads up; *Always, drain the air tanks daily after each run no matter what. I don't care if you sit there and run it..and don't drive it. Drain the air tanks, all of them!!! In the long run? You will save yourself alot of headaches and expenses.

Memories right there I rode one of them in high school

For the 6th gear you need the permission from Allison first. There is a document you need to send to them, then go to a certified Allison mechanic to unlock the 6th gear. I have it somewhere and will share it to you if you want. I have to do this with my bus as well.

@@BigBodyBussin If you have a 5.38 rear end ratio, and you're running 22.5r11 tires, your RPM at 70 mph should be about 1950. Unlocking 6th won't get you too many advantages, because the extended overdrive in that gear puts you out of the power band for the engine. Source: I have a 1998 TCRE with MD3060 and 8.3 6CT motor. You'd be better off uprating the injectors for a little more power and going over the engine and drivetrain for deferred maintenance.

I know, it's for liability reasons.

I'm surprised that more bus lifers don't know about and use tire chains or cables. They make a huge difference in traction.

Yep agreed, they totally make a difference!

What ever you do, after removing your seats? Don't dispose of them.. keep them!! Wrap them up, and storage them properly.

Drivers seat, just like your air brakes? Are air cushioned and may be connected to auxiliary line or tank. Your actual gages should read or cut out no more than or at 130psi maximum. The compressor will cut in, or rely start at 85 psi. This is standard and safer for school busses, leave it alone, don't change these settings.

Cont- Should you loose throttle control, and the bus just sits there.. after you put it in drive, and release the parking brake..and step on the throttle and won't go.. It's no big deal.. I will tell you how to fix it...

The best engine in the entire world 8.3, this engine's in particular never give up very reliable 💯💪🏿🦾🦾
