I went to Florence in June lol

There is a nice balance of vocal, audio from surroundings, music, and subtitles. It all blends together to stimulate so many senses and makes the vlogs stick out from 99.9% of vlogs. Crazy thing is she's probably doing it all on intuitively/accidentally. She really could be a producer or director if she wanted to. Very talented

Hi, girl. This vlog was surprisingly very emotional for me even though I know it's a personal video for you. My Mom died in 2017, and life hasn't been the same ever since. When she was still around, I've always imagined taking her to Italy, and touring her around. It had always been a dream of mine; a thing which had subconsciously propelled me to work hard and earn more, so that I could take her to what I think is one of the most beautiful places on earth. But life is a tad too cruel, snatching her away before I could even finish law school and work. Suddenly, I found myself with an itinerary and a traveller's map, but without a co-traveller to accompany me--both in Italy and for the rest of my life. I know I can still travel and go to Italy. Experience and unravel it for her. But we both know it wouldn't be the same, and I would probably be dragging my crying ass all over Florence. Somehow, however, watching this last night, felt emotional for me. Through this vlog, I somehow have a glimpse of what my dream trip with my Mom would have been if she was still here. Somehow, that eased the emptiness I have been living through; the frustration of having this so much love inside me with nowhere to go. So, I want to thank you for that. :) P.S. In case no one's ever told you yet, you're doing reall well. :)

I live in Düsseldorf it is a city in Germany. In Düsseldorf there is a district with a lot of Italian immigrants.There are also a lot of asian immigrants, so that we got a part of the town that is called “little Tokyo”. We have so many korean,japanese and vietnamese restaurants (so delicious). That district with the Italian immigrants is called “Gerresheim” and have a lot of very good fancy italian restaurants/cafés. I hope I wrote everything understandable 🤞

How great your mom got to join you! She's awesome. I was stationed on the Italian island of Sardegna in the early 90s, and you are 100% correct about everything being beautiful! I still miss all of my friends there, who taught me Italian and all about the culture and food. Tragically, they closed my base down so I ended up in...the dustbowl of West Texas 😕

I’m heading to Japan for a month when they open and then hopefully soon to South Korea for awhile. Love seeing these travel videos! Perfect to put on and inspire more planning.

Oooh those are wild strawberries! In Sweden we call them "smultron" they are like small gold nuggets you can find under a short time during summer. :) They are a bit different in taste, I personally think they taste better than a strawberry. It's common to find a hay straw and put them on one by one like a bracelet and then eat them haha! Glad you liked it!

I absolutely loved visiting Florence when I used to live in London. Watching your vlog makes me want to go back there again. Your mum is the best. She’s so so cute. I love it when she appears in your vids. 🥰

한 10년 여 전에 두비님 정도 나이였던 제 배낭여행 추억이 떠오릅니다ㅎㅎ 예산이 넉넉지 않아서 두비님처럼 맛있는 식사를 많이 하지는 못했지만 굶어죽기 직전 길에서 보이는 제일 저렴한 식당에서 한 끼, 뜨거운 여름 햇살에 잘 구워지다가 잠깐 그늘에서 시원한 젤라또 한 입 먹으면 그것만으로도 행복했었던 것 같네요ㅎㅎ 코로나는 조금 잠잠해지는 모양입니다만 언제 또 다시 가볼 수 있을런지~ 걱정 없이 비행기 타던 몇 년 전이 그립네요ㅎㅎ 영상 잘 봤습니다☺️

You'll find a lot of covert racism here in Italy, but the food is really good and fruits and veggies don't cost that much. So it's easy to live a healthy lifestyle here. Of course I'm talking about food you cook yourself and not pre-cooked vegan food etc those tend to cost too much everywhere lol and it's a total waste of money imo. Btw for your next trip to Italy I suggest you to eat in places called "Trattorie" and "Rifugi"...you can eat a lot of super delicious food for a little money.

“Backpacking around Italy” 🥴 I don’t buy it. That’s like when a rich person says they went camping but they stayed in a $500,000 RV lol. Why do I feel like she says that to give the impression that she’s less wealthy than she actually is because touring around Italy sounds too classy. Rich mom and daughter rough it through Italy just backpacking it. That’ll put some character into anyone 🙄 Bruh I just had to add this, while watching the video she’s wearing a Jackson’s Hole Wyoming shirt, a place rich skiers go to do this famous ski track and smooze with other rich folk. It’s the epitome of a wealthy person destination, I had a rich friend who’s family was the stereotypical rich pompous hangs-out-with-other-rich-people-doing-rich-things-to-improve-your-rich-person-social-status type, and of course they had to go to Jackson’s Hole as all their Rich friends were going. Yk people are rich and wanna let everyone know when they go on Ski trips to Rich person Ski destinations. Considering where Dooby went to school in the states, which happens to be probably the most pretentious/elitist boarding school in North America, she’s making me think more and more she’s just like all the stereotypical rich elite youth, particularly the Ivy-league frat bro type. I mean FFS she went to Cornell university after going to Exeter Academy, that’s as stereotypical rich elite very-much-concerned-about-social-status-within-the-elite-community as it gets. Dooby has that cashflow on lock, I’m sure she’ll be able to fully support herself soon, but let’s not forget how privileged she was to just be in the situation she got into. People that say that she had to work hard to get to where she has in terms of financial comfortability, let’s just be real, parents support their children, especially if they happen to be extremely wealthy!!! There’s nothing wrong with that, nor did Dooby do anything wrong. But at least recognize Dooby has had it made, she didn’t have to work hard/exploit people to live the life she’s been living. I’m sure part of the reasoning behind her parents making lots of money is so they can support Dooby the rest of her life so she never has to be finically unstable, or work if she doesn’t want to.
