Definitely. They fought so hard last season to get us into Europe & it was gutting that they both missed it all. Great that they've got Champions League to look forward to next season.

@@wolfiesmith1966 I remember how happy I was when Mings signed permanently after he had become one of us during his loan. Him getting on a train still in his kit. The expectation of 'when is it going to happen?' and Bournemouth playing silly buggers over the fee. Mings is a massive reason why we are where we are right now. Buendia too, absolutely gutting to see him injured in pre season when everything was coming together. I'm incredibly happy to see them both included tonight to remind them they are part of this success.

@@sisloan I totally agree. Mings & Buendia were the only players to play some part in every league game last season & to lose them both for the whole of this season was a massive blow. This team though seems so together & you know they've been shown the love & support they needed. Delighted that they'll have the chance to experience European football with Villa that they both deserve.

A massive THANK YOU to Dean Smith, all the players that helped us get promoted and somehow survived and of course the current amazing team that we are lucky enough to have. A massive THANK YOU to our saviours Naseef Sawiris, Wes Edens and Christian Purslow who all played their part in turning us from an administration threatened club into a Champions leage club in 5 short years. A hatrick of europa league with Sevilla. And just to prove it's not a fluke another one with villareal, klopp couldn't even do it with liverpool. Emery just has a winners edge to him and his team which klopp lack.

No Mings, no Buendia, hardly any Ramsey, half a season without Kamara, half a season without Moreno, significant injuries to Torres and Zaniolo, and we STILL qualified for the Champions League. It has been a long walk through the wilderness, but we've come through intact and stronger than ever. This is partly a result of the efforts from players who gave everything for the club when we were down in the Championship. Without them, we aren't celebrating this tonight. I hope they are feeling a measure of pride as well.

What an incredible achievement from where we were 18 months ago. I've been watching Villa for over 66 years, I was there when we won the first League Cup, there when we went down to the old third division and there when we won the European Cup. This is very special fellow Villans, enjoy the ride!
